Burn Bright

"Come on Kasey! We gotta go home!" My favorite nanny yelled.

"Coming!" I yelled as I skipped over to the fancy silver car. When I got to the backdoor, I waited for her to come out and open the door for me. When she did, she buckled me up and started to drive away as I swung my legs from my booster seat.

"Carly?" I asked, she raised an eybrow in a funny way and looked at me, "Where are we going?"

"To the park." She answered.

"But mommy says I cant go their, to many dirty people."

Carly scrunched up her nose in another funny way and rolled her eyes.

"Yes, but your mom hired me to take care of you, and I say were going to the park."

"But Carly-"

"No buts. Now, don't tell your mommy okay?"

"Okay."

When we got to the park, I made sure to hold Carly's hand tight and not touch anything. I didn't wanna get dirty like mommy said I would. As we kept walking, I saw other small people like me running around, it looked really fun, but mommy said no....

Carly saw me stare and pushed me to go play but I shook my head and got closer to her. I was scared. She sighed and took me somewhere were they weren't many people, just a big thing of sand and a metal thing that must have been a million feet tall! My eyes widened as I saw it and I couldn't help but wanna climb all over it.

I felt Carly give me a small push and I took a hesitant step forward and looked back to her. She was giving me an encouraging smile so I kept walking over to the big metal thingy. I began to climb until I reached the top, and when I did I could see the whole park! Carly was smiling at me the whole time. I kept walking until I got to a big yellow slide. I had never been on one before, it looked kinda scary.

I bit my lip as I sat down in front of it, peeking over the edge I saw how far down the sand was and I didn't wanna go down it anymore.

"Are you scared?" Someone behind me asked.

I turned around and saw a small boy like me with black hair waiting to go down the slide. I nodded.

"It fun, here I'll go with you." He said then sat behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist and pushed us off. We were going so fast I screamed until we came to a slow stop. I wanted to go again.

"I wanna go again." I told the boy.

"Me to." He said and we both ran back up to the top giggling as we went down again.

"I'm Geward." He said.

"I'm Kasey."

"Wanna be fwiends?" He asked.

"Okay!" I smiled and grabbed his hand and ran with him to Carly.

"Carly!! I made a friend!!" I said jumping up and down in front of her.

"I'm really happy for you." She laughed.

"Gerard!" A women yelled pushing a stroller with a blonde toddler in it over to us, "Dont run away like that."

"Sworry mommy." He said looking down.

Soon his mommy and my Carly started to talk as Gerard took me to the stroller.

"This is my browther, Mikey." He said and pointed to the small one flapping his chubby arms.

"He's cute, can I touch him?" I asked.

He looked at me for a bit before nodding his head and I poked his brother in his cheek. Mikey looked at me and then started laughing like crazy, which made both Geward and I laugh.

"Kasey, we have to go back your you mom and dad now." Carly told me as she took my hand.

"But I wanna play with Geward." I whinnied.

"I have this mothers number, I call for a play date soon, only if you eat your veggies." She warned.

"Yay!" I ran to Geward and hugged him and he hugged me back.

"Bye!" He yelled as Carly pulled me away.

"Bye!" I yelled back waving.
