Im Okay Now

Sunday passed by well and we all went hiking in the local park in the woods. It was fun to get out and enjoy such a wonderful day with the sun shining bright. It got even better at five when it started to pour down on us when we where half way through the six mile hike but that didn't stop us. After all, fall would be coming really soon so We made best of the warm rain took that as an invitation to play in the rain. We where chasing each other along the dirt path and throwing mud at eachother whail laughfing our asses off through the whole mud fight. but it was Gerard's dumb idea for him to run off into the woods. After five minutes with no return I began to panic. I went into the woods to search for him making sure I didn't go too deep into the woods so I wouldn't get lost.
"Gerard!" I yelled in a worried voice. For all I know a bear could have attacked him, and he could be.. Oh my god what if he was.... Dead. No. He's alive. He's Gerard and Gerard is strong, he'll make it. The rain continued to pound against the leaves on the ground as I slowly walked out of the woods to meet up with Mikey who I left on the trail. On my way back I felt two hands grab both sides of my waist as I was picked up into the air, too shocked to even scream in defense. As I looked down to see who was holding me up in the air I wasn't surprised to see Gerard.
"Let it rain let it pour, what we Have is worth fighting for" I couldn't help but smile knowing that he memorized the lyrics to my favorite high school musical song and I continued the verse "you know I believe that we where meant to be--" we both smiled as he placed me back down on my feet and gave me a forehead kiss. I was still kinds mad at him for scaring me, but it's also kind of hard to be mad at him.
"You know you scared me half to death when you walked away and didn't come back"
"I was only gone for a minute!"
"More like five, but okay"
"Well I'm very sorry about that, and for scaring you"
"It's okay, just... Don't do it again"
"So why did you even come out here?" I asked
"Well I knew you would follow me and I really wanted to surprise you by singing that song"
"Well you have an amazing voice" I wasn't lying when I said that. He could sing very well and it was probably make the most beautiful sound I've ever heard. After exchanging a quick kiss, we both walked back to the trail only to find Mikey talking to someone. It was a girl who looked very familiar she probebly went to out school. I could feel Gerard tence up.
"Are you okay?" I asked him
"Um ya, she's just one of my students. I don't like being seen in public" I agree with him, it must be awkward to be a teacher and seeing a student where ever you go. I quickly let go of his hand so she wouldn't think that we where a thing, even though we kinda are.
I wasn't close enough to hear what they where saying but it was obvious that the girl was flirting and Mikey was interested. She gave him a huge smile as she handed him her number and left before we even arrived. We finished the trail and headed back home in the rain which we all enjoyed.

When I got home I noticed that my phone was on the counter, which was shut off and I haven't even bothered to turn it on the past 2 days. Without thinking I let my finger trace the top of the phone and held down the power button. (7) missed calls and (3) new text messages all from my dad. Shit.
A bolt of fear rushed through my body. What was I going to do. I sat there on the counter unable to move knowing he outcome is going to be the worst yet. This wasn't the usual I'm 2 hours late situation, this is a 'I've been gone for two days and you have no idea where I am' problem. There was no use in calling him back, I was just going to get yelled at and suffer the worst beating of my life, so after taking in a deep breath I used all my strength to open up a text message. It read; "kaitey where the fuk r u!? If u don't call me back I will track you phone and find u. Or I will go to ur school and pic u up from their. Ya I'll do both. U r such a horrible child. This is why no one loves you. You better call me back or I will get out the hammer and beat all the shit out of u. "
