Desolation Row

I fell to the cold metal ground, Tears started to pour down my face. I've been crying too much it was getting harder to breathe. Every thing was silent, all my energy was drained from my body. If i had just taken that last step faster I would be in my eternal happiness. I had forgotten about the person who pulled me away until He broke the silence
"why...."
his voiced was filled with sadness, It was very familiar I just couldn't quite remember who it was.
He tilted my head up so our eyes met.
Gerard? He would usually be asleep till noon and then complain about his hangover. He took off his jacket, wrapped it around me and tightly hugged me. He smelt like cigarettes which was some what comforting. I cried myself to sleep in engulfed in his warmth.

*Gerard's POV*

I woke up with the shittiest headache I had ever felt. I looked around everyone was asleep except, Roxy wasn't in her bed. I wasn't surprised though she always wakes up early. I got up and went to the cafeteria to get a nice warm cup of coffee.

After I was done i went out for a walk, It was a nice quiet morning but there was something strange, In the distance I heard faint muffled sobbing. It was coming from behind the cafeteria, I decided to go check on who it was. As I got closer the sobbing got louder and more familiar. I looked up to the top of the Water tank. It was Roxy. She was standing on the edge of the metal platform just seconds away from falling. I ran as fast as I could, then climbed the ladder. I ran over to where she was standing and quickly without hesitation I pulled her back over the railings.

She dropped to the ground and started crying loudly. I whispered in horror
"why..." why would such a beautiful girl like Roxy ever want to end her precious life. Her eyes were red and puffy. She looked like she had been crying for days. I took off my jacket and wrapped it around her shivering body. I hugged her tightly, letting her head rest against my chest. After a few minutes her crying and sniffling stopped. She was asleep. She was so beautiful. I never wanted to let her go, and with that I drifted away into a deep slumber.

*Roxy's POV*

I woke up to the smell of food coming from the cafeteria. My eyes opened slowly. Gerard had his arm's still wrapped around me. The memories came flooding back into my mind as I started crying hysterically. It was so loud that it woke Gerard up. He shot upwards and hugged me
"shhhhh It's okay" His voice was so soothing.

I started to explain to Gerard what happened last night while still practically crying. He looked so hurt, his eyes were watering up.
"I'm not letting anyone ever hurt you again," He forced a weak smile "Roxy, promise me you'll never do this again?" I nodded back slowly knowing that I couldn't ever promise that
