Chartreuse scurried around my condo. Running errands for me, doing what I pay her to do. Yet another day in the life of me, Lily Pearce. If my fucking boyfriend wasn't behind bars right now I could very well be Lily Way.

Once upon a time I was a criminal, along with my best friends; Panda, Jimmy and Gerard. None of us but one got caught and Jimmy, Panda and I moved on to work in the media. Jimmy's unleashing the talent he always had that he was so fucking good at which was the drums, Panda put her base playing to good use and joined a band and I focused on my favourite subject, creative writing and became a famous author.

Gerard... he got himself put in jail.

He was my boyfriend. He was my first. God, I'd kill to see him again, which in some ways, isn't really much to ask seeing as I've killed about 10 people in the past. I haven't had a boyfriend since.

I envy my best friends, Panda and Jimmy. They're still together, married infact. I look after their little girl, Lola while their on tour.

"Lily, Do you want me to pick up Lola?" Chartreuse asked me from the kitchen, interrupting my thoughts.

"No, it's fine."I chirped back and walked out of my office.

I pulled into my private parking space with Lily and we walked up the steps to my condo. I opened the door, feeling a sense of ease knowing that my try hard assistant's shift ended 5 minutes ago.

"Lola, you want anything, hun?" I asked the child as I entered the contemporary kitchen.

"Water, please." The small child answered. I brang her some water and as I was making coffee Lola ran to me.

"Lily, there's two men at the door for you." She said, pointing to the door. I saw a small man first then when I looked over to see the other guy I almost shit myself.

"Gee?" I whispered.
