Everything Will Be Ok

***Taylor’s POV***
I awoke to the sound of the water hitting hard against the tub of the bathroom. I groaned as I limped out of my twin sized bed and to the other side of the room. I then rubbed my eyes, walked over to the bathroom door, and knocked. “Gerard, is that you in there?” I called. I then heard the sound of the shower head turn off as the door flew open to reveal Mikey. He was dripping wet as he had a towel wrapped around his waist. “Hey Taylor. Sorry my shower wasn’t working, so I thought I would use yours.” He croaked in his cute, raspy morning voice. “It’s alright. I don’t mind.” I chuckled. “You can use the bathroom a little longer if you want.” I offered. “Nah its fine. I’m done in here so you can use it now.” He replied with that shy grin of his. “Thanks.” I muttered. “No problem. But hurry up because we need to be at school soon.” I shrugged. “Well if we’re running late, then we can just have Gerard drive us.” He shook his head. “No, not today because I think he’s already at work.” I groaned. “But to be honest I’m kind of glad he isn’t here right now, because I really don’t want to talk to him or see him after the scene he made last night…” He said as he then left my room to head over to his.

At school, the first few periods were absolutely dreadful. From my lack of sleep, I dozed off in Algebra and then received a write-up for it, which is something I really didn’t need right now. I then continued to doodle in my English notes, as the bell finally rang for next period. As many kids rushed out of the classroom door, I quickly threw all my books into my bag and began to head down to Art class. I made sure I walked at a slow pace so I wouldn’t be the first to enter the classroom, cause the last thing I would want would to be in a room with Gerard as to where it’s only the two of us. As I continued to walk down the hallway, the bell signaling for the beginning of fourth period sounded. Shit, I’m late now! Without a thought in mind, I sprinted down the walkway, finally arriving at the art classroom. Once I entered, everyone’s eyes were now on me. I just shrugged it off when I noticed that Gerard wasn’t in the classroom. Fuck yeah! Now I won’t get in trouble. I then fast walked over to my desk, hoping Gerard wouldn’t arrive soon, when an elderly man with a clipboard, walked in. “Hello class.” The man cheered. He seemed to be at least in his mid-fifties. “I’m here on late notice because I was just recently told to substitute for this class due to Mr. Way’s absence.” I stood there confused. What the hell did he mean that he wasn’t here today? He didn’t stay home…so where could he have been? “Young lady why are you not in your assigned seat?” The substitute asked, referring to me. “S-sorry I-I…” Stacy cut me off. “She was late sir.” She spoke in her annoying high pitched voice of hers. God I hate her…Of course she just had to rat me out. “Is this true?” He asked, looking back down at the clipboard. “Were you late Miss Williams? Is it Williams how you pronounce it?” I nodded. “Yes its pronounced Taylor Williams…and yeah I was a few seconds late to class…” I mumbled under my breath. “Well Miss Williams, I’m afraid I’m going to have to give u a detention slip for being tardy.” The man said crossing his arms. “What?!”My face began to grow red with anger. “Miss, unless if you want to get another detention, I recommend that you sit yourself down in your seat right now as I take roll.” I then sighed in defeat as I did as he said. I didn’t pay attention the rest of the lesson as all I wished was for Gerard to be here…
