Chapter 58

***The next morning***
“Taylor…Taylor…Wake up…” Gerard whispered into my ear. I groaned and shifted my body the other direction. “Taylor…get up now. You have school.” I then decided to fake snore so he would go away. “Taylor, get up…I’m already running late!” He whined in a groggily voice. “I want to sleep…” I groaned sleepily. “Honey, I know you had a hard time sleeping last night, but we can’t afford to make us both late.” I kept my eyes closed as I shoved my face into the pillow. “Alright that’s it! If you don’t get up now I’m gonna…I’m gonna tickle you! Now I’m going to count to 3 and you better be out of that bed once I get to 3.” I giggled. “Gerard you got to be kidding. “Before I knew it Gerard’s hands were traveling all over my body as he continued to tickle me. “Gerard! Stop! It hurts!” I yelled. “Well are you going to get up or not?” He asked giving me a devious smirk. “Fine…”I mumbled as I threw both my legs off of the mattress as I was now on my feet. I furrowed my eyebrows. “Wait, shouldn’t you be at work by now?” I asked curiously. “Well today I have a staff meeting at 12:00, so I don’t have to be there until later. Till then, I’ll have somebody else to substitute for me. Therefore I thought I would drive you and Mikey to school.” I stretched out my arms as I yawned in an obnoxious manner. “Oh ok… But I’m going to miss you in second period.” I whined, forcing a frown. He chuckled. “I’ll miss you too babe, but I got to go.” He said bringing me into a deep kiss. “You taste like coffee and toothpaste.” I commented as he began to giggle. “Well you better hurry up and get ready, so you can get a better taste.” He whispered seductively, giving me a wink.
Once I finally finished getting ready, both Mikey and I followed Gerard into the car. “Thanks for driving us Gee!” Mikey beamed. “No problem Mikes, but don’t expect this from me too often. “As he backed out of the driveway, I was struck with fear once again. I rubbed me eyes over and over just to make sure I was actually seeing it. The car. The car was still in the same exact spot as last night. The worst part of it all, was that I still couldn’t see the person inside the car since the windows of the vehicle were too dark to see through. It was extremely tempting to tell Gerard about the person who was supposedly stalking me, but knowing him, he would freak. “Taylor is everything ok? You’re really quiet back there.” Gerard asked concerned. I snapped back into reality. “Y-yeah yeah sorry, I’m just tired I guess…”He didn’t seem satisfied with my response, but continued to remain silent.

The whole school day I couldn’t help but think about the mysterious phone call and the car sitting out on our driveway. I was even yelled at in Art class by the substitute for “day dreaming.” God that substitute was a dick. Couldn’t Gerard have picked a better one? Seriously. But besides that, I really was starting to get worried. Was I actually being stalked? I mean I’m not that interesting and I don’t even talk to that many people. The only people I talk to during the day is Mikey and Gerard, and they are both easily ruled out of the situation.

I checked my phone to see that it was now 3:56. Shit, I should probably get on going to the Record shop. I silently shut the door behind me as I left the house so I wouldn’t wake up Gerard. Lately he had been having a lot of short naps after work. To be honest I felt like joining him, since I was up half of the night last night and was tired as hell. Before I left, I wrote a note to remind Gerard to pick me up at Rockin’ Records at 8, since he still couldn’t find his phone. As I began to stroll down the sidewalk, I was surprised to notice that the car that had been in front of our house for the past two days, was finally gone. The realization of this, caused all the stress and fear to eventually go away.

When I finally entered the music store, I realized that the doors were unlocked. To be honest I didn’t really think anything of it since Dave is extremely forgetful, so he probably just left the doors unlocked by accident. I then walked over to my station and turned on the little radio on the counter, since no customers had arrived yet. The first song that was requested on the station was Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana. Knowing me I just had to sing along.

After the song ended, I decided to flip onto some different music stations when I heard a familiar song come onto the radio.

It was the sweet voice of Gerard that was singing on the radio. I immediately remembered the name of the song. Skylines and Turnstiles. Yep that was it. I couldn’t wait to tell Gerard once I got home that his own song was actually on the radio. I did my best to hum along, when I heard the sound of a car pulling up into the parking lot of the shop. Yay finally my first customer of the night. I stood there impatiently, when I heard the loud sound of the car door being slammed. I quickly turned off the radio when the sound of the bell rang at the top of the entrance door. “Hello welcome to Rockin’ R-“I froze when I saw who it was that had entered the store. “Why hello Taylor…Long time no see…”
