Everything Will Be Ok

***Taylor’s POV***
My head was aching terribly as I awoke to the morning light shining in my face. I groggily lifted my body up feeling the most pain I had ever experienced. God why did I have to drink so much last night. I tried to remember all that had happened the night before, but all that could come to mind was the multiple time that I had awoken during the night to puke. As I slowly opened my eyes I realized that the house was completely silent. I started to panic once I had come to realization that I was going to be late for school. I finally managed to get myself off the couch and began to run toward the stairs. When I got there, I was stopped by a note on the first step. I bent down, picked up the piece of paper, and rubbed my eyes to make out the words that were written on it.
“Taylor, I have decided that you can stay home from school today. You will be home alone for the remainder of the day, so if you need anything or if there’s an emergency, call my cell. In case if you have a hangover, I left a bottle of aspirins and a cup of coffee on the counter, which should make you feel better in no time.

I smiled as I read the note. The way he signed it made my heart melt. Maybe he did still care for me. I crumpled up the note and walked over to the kitchen. With my head still pounding in pain, I took a huge gulp of the bitter tasting coffee and swallowed the aspirin with it. As I continued to consume the cup of coffee, I heard the sound of my phone ringing from the living room. Who could be trying to get ahold of me now? I stumbled over to the living room to answer my phone, to see that it was actually Gerard’s phone that was ringing. He must have accidently left his phone here when he was writing me the note. Just in case if it was anything important, I decided to answer it. “Hello?” I waited for a reply. “Hello? Who is this?” Asked the lady from the other line. “This is Taylor.” I responded groggily. “Is Gerard there?” The woman politely asked. “No he’s at work right now. Do you want me to take a message?” There was a moment of silence. “Uh yeah..sure. Let him know that Lindsey called, and that I need to talk to him about the budget for the baby’s insurance.” I froze. What the hell was she talking about? Was this lady crazy or something? I quickly replied back. “And who is this speaking?” I asked curiously. “This is Lindsey, Gerard’s ex-girlfriend…”
