I'm Not Okay!

Lost and Found

Gerard Way:
I was looking at the map of the school that was given to us within our school handbook. So far, this was going to be not all that easy. There were so many buildings that I just knew I was going to get lost, my body and my head. I was already so confused. How was I supposed to find out where to go?

“Now what?” Mikey asked me, looking around at the campus as we stood somewhere in the middle of the school grounds.

“Yeah…I have no clue.” I sighed, giving up on the map. It was no help.

“Well, we’re supposed to look for Building C.” He said to me, taking the map from me.

“And I’m supposed to be somewhere in Building E.” Frank said, sitting down on a bench.

We were on our own now. School had already started and the bell rung at least ten minutes ago.

I looked back down at the map in Mikey’s hands. “I think that one is over there.” I said, pointing to what I thought was right.

“Only one way to find out.” He shrugged as he stood and sighed. “Later,”

“Later,” I said back.

“Luck,” He threw over his shoulder as he shuffled off slowly in the direction I pointed.

“Yeah, I'm sure we’ll need it,” I practically mumbled, too quiet for him to hear anyway.

“There!” Mikey said excitedly, pointing to a building directly in the middle of all the others.

I looked at the map just in case, against his better judgment. I had to see for myself so he wouldn’t get us fucking lost.

“Well, then,” I shrugged. “Let’s go.” And before he could respond, I shot off in towards the building, throwing my arms up as I ran away from him as fast as I could.

“Hey, wait for me!” He shouted after me.

I was planning to leave him behind. After what he had said to me and Frank yesterday, the jerk deserved it.

Frank Iero:
Heading for the mystery building Gerard had pointed to, I lost my sense of direction. Was it towards the big building in front of me, or was it the much smaller one that stood beside it?

I chose randomly and picked the smaller one, walking right in. Cold air hit my face as I entered the air-conditioned hall. Something brightly colored to my right caught my eye. It was a bulletin board surrounded by yellow and blue streamers.

I chuckled a little at the site. “Wow,” I whispered to myself at the pathetic attempt to show school spirit.
Then I saw a blue piece of paper stuck with a pin down at the bottom. It read:

Don’t forget to sign up for
Cheerleading here at building E!

I must have guessed right about this being the right building that I was supposed to be in. Well, now I just need to look for my class. Room… 426, I think? I looked around from where I was standing. Where was I supposed to go?
That’s when I looked up. A sign above my head was my answer.

Room 400-425 ↑
Room 426-440 ←
Room 441-450 →

“Perfect,” I said aloud to myself. I actually found out where I needed to go. Now I needed to find out if I was actually going to class or not…Well I am already in this damn uniform.

I sighed and headed for room 428. Or wait….Fuck! What was my class number again? Well damn. At least I knew which direction to go. So I made my way down the hall, peeking into each window, hoping to see which class looked like English.

When I thought I found the right one, I stood there and just stared at the door, not ready to open it. I huffed at my ridiculousness and took the handle in my hand and hesitantly turned it. I didn’t want to do this. You know what? I’m not, at all.

I was just going to walk away, right out of this damn place. Letting go of the handle, I turned around, lifting one foot in the air to start walking away.

But as I did, the bell rang for the passing period before another class hour was supposed to start for everyone, including me.

Everyone stepped out of the classes they were just in, heading for their next class.

Well…Okay then! Time for my next class. I fished through my pocket and actually found my crumpled up schedule. I headed for room 430…which was right across from where I was just standing! Awesome. I walked to the door and went inside.
