I'd end my days with you

"Run faster!" He yelled as he pulled of my hand running. He was pushing all the zombies away from us with the piece of car. I couldn't believe that it was actually working. While running, the both of us saw a gas station surrounded by a gate that seemed easy for us to jump but not for the zombies. We looked at each other knowing what the other was thinking. We started running towards it. When we were there, he helped me to jump over it and then he jumped after me.

"So you guys made it. I thought you were going to die trying." Gerard said. "That's what I thought too. I was very surprised that we made it." I said and he smiled a little, but like before, it quickly faded away. So I continued telling him the story.

I started walking towards the building to see if there was something useful in there. But suddenly I heard a very low scream and the sound of something falling down. I looked behind me and saw the guy on the floor grabbing his leg. "What's wrong?" I asked walking towards him. "I hit my leg with the gate when I jumped over it." He said. I moved carefully his hand away from his leg so I could see it. "You are bleeding!" I said and quickly picked up my bag searching for the bandage I keep there in case of emergency. I covered his leg with it. "Did any zombie bite you?" I asked. "No, don't worry girl." I sighed.

"Okay. So guess I can leave now, can't I?" I said. "Yes, but what are you planning to do are you going anywhere?" He asked. "Not really. I'm just going to explore until I found a save place." I explained to him. "I see... well not really. Is that seriously all that you got?" He asked. "Yes, what do you expect me to do?" I asked. "Think again what you said. You just want hide and die alone in any place that seems safe." He said. "Do you have any better plan?" I asked in an annoyed tone. "I heard there's a refuge in the mountains, I'm going to try to get there." He explained.

"Oh, so he was talking about this refuge." Gerard said while he was writing on his notebook. "Are we in the mountains?" I asked. "Yes, you are now in the refuge that guy told you about, now please, continue." He said.

"You are saying that you heard that." I said. "That's exactly what I said." He said. "A guy that I killed like two days ago told me about it." He explained. So, he have already killed people... I slowly stepped back and he brought back to his face that evil smirk. "Don't be afraid, girl. If I wanted to kill you, I would have already done it. Don't you remember I have just saved you?" He said. "But anyway you didn't know if he was telling the truth." I said ignoring what he just said. "I know. But I think it's worth trying, because what else could I do?" He said.

I thought of it for a moment, there was nothing to lose, maybe it was really worth trying. "Well... you are true. I would try to go there too..." I said. "But on my own, alone, without you." I added. "I'm okay with it." He said while was still sitting in the floor. "See you, in the refuge if there is really one." I said. "See you in the refuge, if you really survive, girl." He said and laughed a little. I didn't say anything and was about to start walking but he stopped me. "But the way, it's Frank." He said. I turned back and look at him. "What?" I asked confused. "My name is Frank." He said.

I was really surprised that he told me his name. I looked at him and he smiled, but this time it wasn't evil, it looked like a friendly smile. "Oh, okay. Bye, Frank." I said. "Bye, GIRL." He said emphasizing the word "girl" and making that friendly smile disappear bringing back the evil one. I ignored him and started walking away from him.

"Why didn't you stay with him? I think you were starting to be friends or at least you stopped trying to kill each other all the time." Gerard said kinda confused. "Because every person that was nice to me ended up trying to kill or to feed me to the zombies." I explained. "But if Frank started trying to kill you, maybe the story could give backwards... well it doesn't matter. Go on with the story." He said looking at me.
