Party Poison
Arising Problems
"Ugh." Gerard groaned as he put his head in his hands. "What is it?" Robin whispered to him with concern in her voice. Gee handed her the note from Courtney with an exasperated expression. As Robin read the note, her eyes grew wide; she nodded in sympathy. "The only reason why she could possibly care about me is because she's still bitter over the fact that I broke up with her instead, of the other way around. She could easily have just about any guy she wants. I suppose she just wants power over me specifically." he said half-heartedly. Robin nodded once more foolishly. She didn't know what to say to him; not that she ever did know what to say.
Gee scribbled down these words on the note in response: "Leave me alone, Courtney. I never liked you, and never will. Go find someone else to order around because it sure as h*** won't be me." Gerard then communicated to some boy seated in front of him to pass along the note to Courtney. The boy obliged, and when the note reached Courtney, she grew joyful. Until that is, she became aware of the note's purpose. She viciously whipped her head around and scowled at Gerard. Her face read "don't f*** with me. Gerard pondered the consequences of his actions; he grew worried and remorseful. He came to the conclusion that when Courtney noticed that Gerard and Robin were new friends, she would try to take her down. This would not bode well with Robin's pre-existing mental conditions.
As the teacher continued with the lecture on cell reproduction oblivious, to the commotion that was going on right under his nose, Robin glanced at the clock on the wall; it was almost time to depart. For the short amount of time that the lesson carried on for, Robin thought about the note. She had glanced over at what Gerard had replied with, but hadn't spoken with him about it. She tried to pay attention to the lesson, but one of the many symptoms of depression that hit her hard was the inability to focus. This was heightened with the Gerard/Courtney situation going on. Her concern for her newly found friend increased as the possible outcome of his rash decision spun through her mind. She felt sorry for him and his misfortune of getting mixed up with this drama queen.
The early bell at long last had dismissed the class. Gerard and Robin continued down the hall, they were some of the last people to leave the room. They both attended individual classes next so, they split their paths. "See ya' at lunch, Gee." she called. "Later, Robin." he replied. The next three classes would pass by slowly for the two for, they didn't share any more lessons before seventh period.
