Party Poison

Reluctantly, they ended their ten minute long hug once, Robin had ceased shedding tears. "C'mon, let's get you cleaned up." Gerard said. Robin brushed the tears from her face once more. They walked over towards the sink and Gerard began to run the water. "Let me see your wrist." Gerard spoke. Robin willingly complied at a slow pace. "Oh, thank goodness." Gerard said thankfully, holding her wrist. "What?" she queried. "It's not severe." he smiled sadly. "Have you had experience with cutting before?" she implored. "That's not important right now." he said.

Gerard checked the temperature, and deeming it acceptable, he slowly moved her wrist so that the water would cleanse it. The lukewarm water ran over her right hand and bottom right arm. She breathed through her teeth "Owww." Robin uttered. "Ugh, I'm being such a baby about this." she remarked. "No you're not." Gerard reassured. He turned the water off, grabbed a paper towel, and patted her injuries dry gingerly. "While the cuts weren't life threatening, they could still do some serious damage." "How do you know so much about cutting injuries, Gerard?" Robin questioned thoughtfully. He paused knowingly.

"Because I used to cut." Gerard replied with a look full of sorrow. "Why would you do that, you seem so strong?" she asked. "My dad passed when my brother and I were young." he answered. " I'm so sorry." she added. "Yeah...my mom recoiled from Mikey and me so, I looked out for my little brother. I made sure he ate, did well in school, and didn't get bullied. It got to be stressful as time went on." he explained. "That must have been awful for you." she said sweetly. "Yeah. Thanks for caring so much, Robin." he communicated.

"No, thank you for caring, Gerard." Robin said. "You can call me Gee, Gerard's so formal." he added. "Okay, Gee." she smiled sunnily. He grinned back. "Well, second period's gotta' be starting up soon." he informed. "What do you have?" he questioned. "Chemistry." she said. "Cool! Me too." Gee exclaimed. "Walk you there?" he asked. "Sure!" she said gladly.

So, today we learned that Gee has some underlying issues with his family.
