Party Poison
Robin's Mother
After the two finished crossing the street to reach Robin's house, they traversed up the steps and Robin knocked using the door knocker. Their hands detached from one another's, and shortly loud yet, muffled shuffling could be heard coming from within the house. Robin remarked quickly "Please don't be alarmed by my mother's attitude." Gerard nodded in confusion. The door creaked open halfway in a jolting manner, due to the fact that it had caught on a large, black rug. In the opening stood a woman of what appeared to be approximately forty-five years of age.
"Well come on in, bitch!" Robin's mother called with hatred.
"Ohhh, who's this, the little skank's boyfriend?" she added rhetorically. Gerard's eyes fell on Robin's own shame filled eyes. He was appalled at how Robin's mother acted towards her. What could the kind girl have done to deserve this? "It's alright." he whispered to her sweetly, whilst they walked through the threshold of Robin's home. In the proccess of soothing her, Robin noted blissfully that his breath had tickled her ear.
Robin's mother settled herself on a large, white, cushy recliner in the corner of the room. "Um, mom?" Robin called uncertainly. "What!? What do you want!?" She replied hastily. Gerard cringed mentally at the tone and volume of her voice, even though she was across the room her shrill voice still managed to drill into his ear drums. "I was wondering if I could go over Gerard's house next door for a couple hours." "Sure, it'll be great to get you out of the house for a couple hours; just make sure you do your chores when you get back." Robin's mother complied. "Thanks, mom." Robin replied politely.
"Your welcome, sweetheart! By the way, my name's Trisha, it was a pleasure meeting you, Gerard!" Robin's mother called in a sweet sounding voice that Gerard didn't think she was capable of utilizing. Her regular voice was scratchy, unclear, overly loud, and nasally all at once. Gerard proceeded to open the door for Robin to walk through. Gerard exited after Robin and closed the door quietly. Once the pair stepped onto the concrete sidewalk, Gerard questioned "What was with the sudden change in your mom?"
"Oh, I forgot to mention, my mom was diagnosed with bipolar. It's where you can change moods dramatically for absolutely no reason at all." she informed. "I'm so sorry, Robin." he tried to console her. "Oh, it's alright, Gee, I've grown accustomed to it." she smiled sadly. "You shouldn't have to though." "But I do." she finished wistfully. They then reached Gerard's house; he raised his hand to knock on the door, but the door rapidly opened and swept the two up in a whirlwind of hands.
