Summary
Robin's life hasn't exactly been a walk in the park. Her mother has been diagnosed with bi-polar for as long as she can remember. She constantly blames Robin for her father's faults. Robin's father abuses drugs in lethal doses along with his needy girlfriend. She however, has grown accustomed to these issues.
What really bothers her are her weak attempts to bond with her so called friends. Other social flops hinder her progress towards making new friends. She is a clumsy oaf most times. All of her bad qualities shadow the good in her mental picture of herself. She finds relief in her precious coping skill, cutting.
Characters
Alice Merion
She is Robin's best friend although it is clear to Robin that she holds Maya's friendship above Robin's. She is of average height and weight. Her hair is naturally brown. She is viewed as a shy, sensitive girl.
Carly Abbey
She is short, skinny, and has natural red hair. She is a freshman that Robin strikes up a conversation with in the hallway. She is a somewhat eccentric, and optimistic person.
Gerard Way
He is polite and kind most often, but has a tendency to explode. He has a natural hair color of black. He has a lanky build.
Maya Xavier
She has curly, dirty blonde hair; she is short and plump. Most people view her as a good friend of Alice's and Robin's, but she was truly only Alice's friend. Robin didn't trust the likes of her. Everyone thought she was a kind, charismatic girl, but Robin saw her for what she really was- a narcissist.
Robin Reid
She is insecure, anxious, and depressed. Her natural hair color is brown, but with vividly colored streaks of red interspersed. She is also rather tall and has a bit of a petite frame.
