The Silver Lining

Lola's POV

I heard feet pounding towards me, but I didn't dare look up, thinking it was Ray. I cowered back when a hand touched me before I opened my eyes and saw Gerard crouching down in front of me.

"Lola, what? We heard shouting." He asked. I threw myself into his arms, clutching his shirt as he lifted me up and kissed my forehead soothingly. "What's wrong, what happened."

"R-Ray." I sobbed into his shirt. I couldn't get it out. It was hard enough to know that he didn't like me, but I know he hates me know since he fucking put his hands on me.

"What did he do?!" Gerard asked with strain in his voice as he held back the anger. I didn't want Ray to hate me more and I didn't want to get him hurt so I just slowed my sobs and wiped away the tears.

"N-Nothing." I looked away from Gerard's face, not wanting to be pushed into saying the truth.

"Lola. Why are you crying then?" He asked, looking at me intently.

"I-I don't know … H-Hormones?" I said. It came out more like a question then a strait answer and I knew it wasn't enough but he have up the subject and just clung to me tighter, walking back to the dining room with the others.

"Lo, what's wrong?" Mikey asked as they all jumped up and ran to where Gee had sat me on the counter.

"Nothing." I looked at my feet quickly avoiding their gazes. It worked as they avoided asking more questions and pulled me into a group hug. I jumped at the sound of the loud bang of the front door smashing closed.

I realized Ray was still in the bathroom and that must have been him storming off. "What's wrong with that fucker?!" Frank asked, looking really pissed off.

"I don't care. He doesn't support Lola so he can fuck off." Gerard snarled, absolutely pissed by now.

"I think he just doesn't like me and doesn't want me to be with you." I sighed, staring intently at the floor.

"I-I'm sure that's not it." Alicia said, rubbing my back.

"I-It's okay." I said. "I'm used to not being wanted by people."

"Well, it's okay, because we all love you." Frank chimed in. I looked up at their smiling faces and couldn't help but smile too.

"I love you all too."
