My Honest Observation

(Lauren POV)


I look up at Ray and blush faintly, cheeks turning a pinky rose colour. Ray just kissed me. I can't believe it. I've always wanted to kiss Ray. I hear stomping upstairs and then I hear Bob storming down the stairs, yelling. "RAY?! ARE YOU DOWN HERE?!" Bob shouts. Ray quickly got up and out if my bed when Bob entered the room. "I thought YOU were sleeping in my room and hanging out with ME. Not with her! I now have full custody of her. Since mom and dad got into the accident..." Ray glares at him. "She has a name. It's Lauren. And why do you think it's such a burden to take care of her?! Do you not want to?" Ray questions. Bob looks away, "I just don't want responsibility for her. She can take care of herself!" Bob yells. Ray snarls. "I'll take care of her then!" Bob shouts back, "fine!!!" Bob storms up the stairs and Ray quickly pulls out a bunch of my clothing and stuffs them in my backpack. "We're going to my house." I look at Ray and I get off my bed and help gather everything. I go to the back of one if my drawers and pull out a little tin. Ray asks what it is before I could put it in my bag. "Nothing." I say and stuff it in. Ray grabs my bag despite my aching protests and I get dressed in the bathroom and he leads me out. We walk to his house. What did I get myself into?


(Ray POV)


Lauren and I are walking to my house now. I finally got her out. She should be safe with me. As long as I don't drive her anywhere. I chuckle gently. Lauren looks at me and I gently take her head and walk down the street. We arrive at my house and go inside. "Uh.... There aren't anymore bedrooms left because of my siblings but um you can sleep in my room I guess. I can take the floor...." I say, hoping she'd offer the option for us to sleep together. "You don't have to sleep on the floor, I can. Or we can share your bed if it's big enough...?" Lauren says to me. Internally, I'm screaming and excited, externally I smile gently, "sure, that'd be cool." I mean in gently and I kiss Lauren's lips softly. I just had the urge! Oops! To my surprise, she kisses back. We pull apart and I'm blushing darkly. I take her upstairs. Maybe stuff will finally work out.
