Surrender The Night

I woke up with sun from the little window in Gerard's basement shining into my eyes. Speaking of Gerard, when I looked up, he had his head resting against the foot board of the bed, he was still asleep. I smiled to myself because of how peaceful he looked, it was as if nothing in this life can possibly hurt him. I slowly leaned up and kissed him on his cheek. His eyes fluttered open and he looked at me smiling, then as if my face sparked something in him, he picked me up and spinned me around kissing me gently as he lowered me down.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRANKIE!" He said. I laughed and hugged him tight.
"Thanks gee." I said smiling "Honestly I completely forgot haha."
"Well I didn't! and neither did Mikey... or Ray, now come on, we have a surprise for you!" He grabbed my hand and dragged me up the stairs, once on top he flipped me around so that I was in front of him, facing him. He reached back behind me and opened the door while telling me to close my eyes, so I did. He twirled me around and I opened my eyes to Ray and Mikey smiling widely and there was a huge banner on the wall behind them saying 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' in colorful letters. I smiled and brought all of them into a big group hug. Mikey sat me down at the Way's dining table before sitting down in front of me as Gerard sat down next to me. Ray came in holding a huge stack of chocolate chip pancakes with a single lit candle toping them off. They all sang me Happy Birthday and I blew it out before dividing the pancakes evenly between all of us. The chocolate chips melted in my mouth and I swallowed them down with cranberry juice, my favorite.
After breakfast, Gerard went to his room, where apparently all of their gifts were stashed. Gerard's was wrapped up in black paper with a big red bow at the top. Mikey's was in a dark blue bag that had Happy Birthday written on it in yellow, same with Ray's but the color of his gift bag was green.
"Open mine last." Gerard smirked
"Okay..." I said, suspicious
"Oh! open mine first!" Mikey said shoving his gift bag toward me. I took it and dug out a birthday card. Mikey didn't write much in it, just the usual about how I'm supposedly a great best friend. Next I took out an army green vest with a yellow and black patch on the top right side.
"Wow Mikey! I love it!" I said, reaching over and hugging him.
"Thanks! I was looking through some of Gerard's comics and I saw that vest. I thought it was cool looking so I got an army jacket from the store and wripped off the sleeves and sewed that patch on it." He said, obviously proud of his work
"I thought that look familiar!" Gerard exclaimed
"Either way Mikes, it's great, thank you." I said again "Alright Ray, you next" Ray handed me his gift and I took out the card. I wasn't one for reading the cards out loud so I smiled at the inside jokes and placed the card back into the bag. There were two gifts in the bag, firstly, an awesome black leather guitar strap for my guitar, Pansy, and a pack of black, silver, and red guitar picks. Perfect. Ray knew all too well that I go through a single pack of these within a week, and that I'm (once again) running out. I thanked him, with the usual hug, and looked at Gerard who was handing me his wrapped gift.
I took it from him and he blushed slightly. I took of the red bow first and placed it on top of my head, earning a smirk from the guys. Flipping the present over, I carefully opened the gift as if I was Charlie from 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' opening a chocolate bar with the hopes of finding a golden ticket. Little did I know that Charlie and I had a lot more in common than I first thought.

I'm so sorry guys, but finals is coming up at school and I just had two history tests in a row and a math test tomorrow, luckily I had an early release today at school, but still I'm really sorry for not updating and thanks so much for putting up with me and my inactive ways, welllll Electric Century (Mikey's new band) I honestly think sounds great, same with B.F.F. by Frankie and Gerard said he'll have his music stuffs out soon so I guess I'm happy about them and their awesomeness. Alright, byee
