The only way I'll really smile is if you cut me ear to ear.

Chapter forty seven

"I used to think maybe you love me, now baby I'm sure, and I just cant wait till the day, when you knock on my door" I sung along to the music playing from my stereo. My hips swaying from side to side as I chucked a few clothes into a duffle bag. I threw an art book and a pencil case filled with my best art supplies into it as well. "I'm walking on sunshine, whoa oh oh, and don't it feel good, HEY!" I spun around, my arms raised high as I shouted the chorus. My eyes opened and focused onto a giggling Taylor. The music continued to blast and I ran to the stereo, turning the music down. "I'm sorry, hi!" I embraced Taylor into a friendly hug. "It's perfectly alright" she chuckled, wiping her laughs away and smiling at me. "What are you doing here babe? You're meant to be relaxing!" I placed my hands gently on her shoulders. "I just wanted to see someone, that's all... And where are you going!?" She tore herself out of my grip and went to my duffle bag. "I'm going to Dallas for a couple of days" I casually leaned against my bedroom door.

"Dallas? Why there?" She sat on my bed and grabbed my art book. "Well, I'm kind of meeting a few people there" I scratched my neck and watched her. "You aren't going on tour are you?" She flipped through the colour filled pages. "For the last time, I'm not going on tour!" I frustratedly puffed out. "Sure" she dragged out, placing my book back into my bag. "Honey, really?" She asked, pulling a black lace bra out.

"Hey!" I snatched the bra out of her hands and shoved it back into my bag. "Leave me alone" I blushed, zipping the bag up. "Just saying" she grinned. "Yeah, well, you can 'just say' over there" I pointed out into the hallway. "Awe, I'm sorry babe" she pouted, getting off my bed and walking towards my book case. "You have great taste in books, you know that?" She ran her fingers along the spines of all my books. "Thanks?" I raised an eyebrow at her weird behaviour. It was quiet as she pulled a few books out to read the backs.

"Do you want me to say anything to Mikey when I-" I started before getting cut off. "Yes please!" She dived towards me. "Tell him that I'm sorry and to call me" she held my hands and pleaded. I frowned, nodding my head in understanding. "What happened, if you don't mind me asking" I quietly said. "It's nothing, honestly" she spoke. "It-it doesn't seem like nothing" I told her. "It's complicated" she smiled softly. "Just tell him what I told you, 'I'm sorry and call me'. Okay?" She asked while walking to my door. "Of course" I smiled, picking my duffel bag up and following her. "Oh, one more thing! The dresses-" I beamed behind her.

"We'll talk about the wedding when you get back" she turned and smiled, giving me a small hug before waving and walking out my front door. "Bye" I shouted as the door closed. I let out a long sigh and looked up the wooden stairs before me. I checked the time. "Chelsea should be here soon" I shuffled over to my couch and laid down on it, my head hitting the soft pillow lightly. As soon as I closed my eyes, a warmth came out of no where and appeared around my stomach. I looked down to discover a curled up kitten. "I have to admit, I'm going to miss you girl" I patted her gently.

My thoughts of leaving the house and my adorable kitten drifted away, my mind losing consciousness and resting for sleep.

---

"Look how cute they are!" whispering voices awoke me. I groaned, a slight twinge in my neck was annoying me. "Oop, she's awake" the same voice giggled. "Chelsea?" I rubbed my eyes and looked around. My vision had landed on not only Chelsea but Oliver.

"Hello sleepy head" Oliver waved, a stupid grin on his face. "Urgh, what time is it?" I sat up and scratched my head tiredly, Angel jumping off my stomach. "It's like, six o'clock" As Chelsea said those words, I was up. "What!?" I grabbed my duffle bag and keys. "Why, what's wrong?" Chelsea quickly came to me as I snatched the closest Leather jacket to me. "I need to go!" I opened the front door and jogged to my car. "How about I drive you" Oliver asked, getting in his car. "Wait, what about Chelsea?" I turned back. An unexpected warm feeling hit my lips and my eyes widened. "Go get him" Chelsea grinned. "Did you just kiss me?" I asked, stunned.

"Go" she shoved me towards the car. I chucked her my keys and awkwardly jogged away. "I'm taking care of the place" she reassured me. I climbed into Oliver's car and we were off. "I'm sorry" I awkwardly looked at him. "I'm okay with it" he smirked. "I don't know if we are on the same page but your girlfriend just kissed me" I blushed. "You two are good friends, I don't mind" he shrugged. "I'll keep that in mind" I jokingly replied. "That-that doesn't mean you get to keep on kissing her, I-I was just saying that-"
"It's fine! I was joking! Now hurry up before I miss my plane" I chuckled.

---

Finally, I'm here in Dallas and I couldn't be happier. I took a deep breath and smiled. After getting my duffle bag and hailing a cab, I shoved my earphones in and placed my head back. A sickening feeling resting in my stomach. Airplanes can really suck sometimes.

'The run and go' by 'Twenty One Pilots' was blasting in my ears and I couldn't hold back my need to bob my head and tap my knee rhythmically along to the beat. Anticipation slapped me in the face when the Taxi stopped. I grabbed my wallet and paid the nice woman driving me. "Thank you" I grinned. "Have a nice night, dear" she waved and drove away from the side walk. I tore my gaze from the yellow cab and onto the big building in front of me.

"The house of blues, huh?" I spoke aloud. I noticed a huge group of girls and boys dressed in band shirts and skinny jeans. I smirked and rearranged my duffle bag strap on my shoulder. "Hey! Is that Charlie!?" A girl screamed. My eyes widened and I turned to the large group. "It is! Holy shit!" A guy gasped. I put my hands up in surrender. "Uh-I'm not looking for any trouble" I told them while backing away cautiously. That didn't seem to faze them as they ambushed me with hugs and pens. I signed a few things here and there. I think I took a million selfies.

"Look, I'd love to stay and chat guys, I really would. But I kind of have to go and ya know" I lifted my bag up. "Oh! So you're coming back on tour!" One girl beamed excitedly. "I'm not going on tour" I mumbled, this time sadder then the others. "We'll leave you be, as long as you take a big group picture with us!" A guy grinned at me. "Okay! Come on then" I smiled as I huddled into the group. I think someone stopped to take the photo for us.

The boy's fans were truly beautiful. They were so kind hearted and really sweet to me. As soon as I said my goodbyes, I ran inside. The sound of music enveloped me and I rushed to the main door. "Uh- miss, you can't go in there without a ticket" I raised my eyebrow at the man holding me back. "Oh! Sorry, proceed" he opened the door for me and I thanked him. The whole place was packed. I tried to run around the edge of the crowd that was jumping and dancing. I made sure to keep my bag safely beside me.

I found the backstage door and with a small smile and a few choice words, I got into the backstage area. I took a deep breath and dropped my bag onto the closest couch. Should I just wait? I could see Gerard dancing from the open curtain. I don't know what was going through my head but I decided to just walk out on stage. Butterflies swarmed in the pit of my stomach and my heart rate got faster as I got closer to him. The bright lights blinded me but I found my way to Gerard easily. My arms instinctively wrapped themselves around his waist. My head burying itself into the back of his jacket. He stiffened and turned slightly. "Sing it for the- holy shit!" He shouted, dropping the microphone and picking me up. "Oh my god, baby!" He spun me around in his grip. I wrapped my legs tightly around his hips and held onto his neck as I passionately kissed him.

"Oh my god, I missed you!" He kissed me back. I giggled and hugged him tighter. "I missed you too, sugar" I kissed his cheeks before hopping out of his grip. I smiled up at him before being tackled to the ground. I squealed and fell, two arms encircling me. I looked at the body connected to the arms tightly wrapped around my stomach and saw Frank. "Frankie!" I said while rolling around so I was on top of him. I straddled his hips and engulfed him in a big hug. He hugged me back and laughed.

I got pulled back by my arms and shoved into Ray's chest. "Honey, you're home!" He spun me around. I chuckled and kissed his cheek. "Where's Mikey baby?" I looked around and spotted the awkward looking guy off to the side. "Mikes!" I opened my arms up and he grinned, running into my arms. "Uh, I've missed ya man!" I messed his hair up. "We need to talk about a few things, okay!" I smiled. He nodded and gave me another hug.

It wasn't long until I remembered they were actually performing live. "Um... Sorry guys!" I waved. I thought I was going to be booed off but I just got 'Hellos' and cheers. "I'm just going to chill out-uh- backstage" I cleared my throat. I leaned in for another kiss from Gerard before wishing them all good luck and waving awkwardly to the drummer.

---

The backstage area was nice. The house of blues is pretty cool. I quietly watched the show, tapping my foot along to the beat. A few people would walk past and wave. It was nice. I was glad that I brought my art book along with me. I randomly doodled cartoon pictures.

My back started feeling sore. I argued with myself before looking at the comfy couch next to me and giving up. It looks really comfy. I laid back and let out a relieved sigh. My stomach still felt queasy from the flight. I closed my eyes and placed the art book over my face; blocking the bright light shining on me.

I don't know how long I had been asleep for but when I woke up, there was no lights and my book was no where to be seen. Not that I could see anything anyway. I felt around myself and touched something soft and warm. I poked it and heard a quiet snort. I frowned, poking the warm wall in front of me. "Boo" I flinched at the whispering voice. A familiar quiet giggle was heard afterward. It was obviously Gee. "Where are we?" I whispered. "On the bus. You fell asleep on the couch back at the house of blues" Gerard's voice quietly spoke. "Makes sense" I simply shrugged.

My thoughts of my recent whereabouts were pushed aside as I reached out and snuggled into Gerard. He accepted my embrace by encircling me. I placed my head on his chest and listened to the beat of his heart. "I love you Charlotte" he kissed my head. I felt myself melt inside, a massive grin covering my face. "I love you too, Gerard" I kissed his chest.

Then we were asleep. It was the best sleep I had had in months.
