To hell, it burns

I was starting a new school today. Nothing new, I've done it 63 times. I walked up the hill with my sister Patience, my boyfriend James and our friends; Matt, Brian, Zack, Johnathon, Fi, Saorise and Vivienne.

"You nervous?" James asked me as we walked up the hill. He always asked me this when we had to move. I gripped his hand and sighed.

"James, I want to actually graduate after this. Have a family and become a woman. I know we're monsters, but I hate living like this.

"Valkerie. I'll do what I can. We'll make it, cotton socks." He smiled as he kissed me. One mention of my pet name made me smile. I walked the rest of the way to Belleville high with James' arm around my waist.
