Star-crossed lovers.

"Okay, so what do I do?" I simply ask Mr. Way as I seriously don't know what on earth on supposed to do for "detention."

"Well, Frank. You could help with grading tests, one I suppose you failed." His eye brow rose as I took well to his joke.

"Yeah, totally Mr. Way." I laughed along.

"No, I'm serious. I didn't catch you make a single mark on it." He confronted me.

"Oh.." I mumbled, my face blushing from the slight embarrassment.

"So, you ever going to make that test up or am I going to have to end up giving you an F?" Gerard added while my mind was dosing off some place else, but drawn back into reality when I heard his words. Jumping up at the slightest fact that he could mean something sexual, but him being my teacher, I knew it was a negative.

"Um, when?" My voice finally chokes out.

"Tomorrow after school?" He suggested, I shrugged.

"Sure."

"Alright, now take these and help correct them. I'm sure I can trust you." He smiled.

Without objection, I took a pile of papers off his desk and took them over to a table. Right as the paper hit the wooden table top the thought hit me.

"Mr. Way- I mean Gerard." I mumbled, correcting myself with his request for me to call him Gerard.

"Yeah?" He lifted his head off his desk.

"I failed the test, re taking it wont do any good unless I have help studying."

His face turned. "Oh. Well, um I guess you're right." He simply said.

"So, like do I just study before tomorrow or what?" I ask with my voice filled with a little confusion.

Gerard's face formed into a smile, opening his mouth so the words crawl out. "Tell you what, you can come by my place and we can study together."
