I Wash My Hands Of Yesterday
Confrontations
Frank’s Point Of View
“Frank” Mr Way called, looked directly into my eyes.
I nodded, “Sorry” I choked out as I shuffled to my seat shamefully.
Mr Way took roll call as I sunk lower in my seat, trying to avoid talking or making eye contact with anyone. For once I had never been happier to hear the bell that initiated a whole new day of pointless education. With this in mind, I made my way to the door.
“Mr Iero, I’d like a word!” Mr Way noted. Shit. Fuck. Dammit!
My blood ran cold and my skin erupted in goose bumps as I turned to face him.
We stood there, silent, until every last student had left; Mr Way then proceeded to lock the door before making his way over to me.
“It would seem we have a substantial amount to talk about” he stated. I nodded rather dumbly.
“I’m sorry-I didn’t mean-I’m s-sorry” I muttered meekly.
“One: You are underage so you shouldn’t have been at a club. Two: You could have been taken advantage of and no one would have been there to prevent it! Three: What happened was completely inappropriate and scandalous! If anyone were to find out, well I don’t want to even think what would happen” Mr Way spoke, sounding formal and reprimanding, however, his eyes showing nothing but fear and vulnerability.
“Sir, I am r-really s-sorry, I never meant for something like this to h-happen” I mumbled.
“Yes, well it did and oh God, I am sorry too, this is my fault, if I hadn’t grabbed the first thing that caught my eye then we wouldn’t be in such a situation, I j-just, I-I’m so stressed and I don’t know” he rambled.
Fighting a blush at his choice of words, I stood there, not entirely sure of what to do.
“I-It never happened” I stated.
Within seconds I was engulfed in a hug.
“Thank you! Oh God thank you!” he whispered.
I nodded awkwardly and left for my first lesson.
