Gerard P.O.V

Just as I thought, work was dreadful, I barely even go to work in the kitchen, I was mostly out and about cleaning tables and sweeping floors which I hated. It was always gross and boring. I didn't even have anyone to talk to, Evan was behind the counter flipping burgers while I swept. Ew, and I had to tend to crabby people and bratty kids. I don't even know why I chose to work here when I could've worked at the record store. Oh wait, I had to be eighteen to work there. Bleh, I have to wait another year till I get a decent job so I guess I'm stuck here for a while.

Usually I never played on my phone at work but today was just horrible, so I decided to just text Frank. I mean, he's always fun to talk to, right?

To:Frank

Ayee.

Before anyone could see anything, I slipped my phone back in my jeans pocket then heading over to clean up a spill a little twelve year old made while his -I think she was sixteen and pretty sure she was his sister- yelled at him But I hurried my way over there until I was greeted by what I think was an attempt to flirt.

"Is your hair as soft as it looks?" A typical red headed girl giggled, twirling her finger though her faded hair, snapping her gum at me.

"If it looks like a hedgehog then yes, yes it is." I don't even look up to her as I wipe of the soda with an old rag.

"Oo, feisty. I can live with that." She tires to throw a sexy tone but I ignore her as I leant over the table, picking up the few cubes of ice that landed around. Which was a horrible idea cause she took it as an invitation to squeeze my ass.

"You do know I'm gay, right?" I want to throw the dirtiest look ever at her, but all I'm allowed to do is look at her with an emotionless face.

"Oh, really. I think a girl like this could fix that." She doesn't quit as she runs her finger down my sides, I almost shiver in the pure fear and disgust.

Sure this isn't the first tie someone tried flirting with me but this is the farthest it's ever gone. Usually the girls will just through flirty comments, not touch me freely like I belong to a petting zoo.

Her finger stays on me till I pull myself away from the scene, walking away as far as I can which isn't that far. Just to the counter as I can't go fucking behind it cause I'm basically locked in the actual shop.

I just stay up front though, improvising by just wiping down the counter, meeting eyes with Evan as he stands over the griddle. Flipping burgers as I feel a slight vibration in my pocket.



Frank's P.O.V

I guess Gerard got off work early cause he started texting me at around eight while I was in the middle of watching Child's Play.

From: Gerard

Ayee.

I really don't like texting, so I just ignore it for a little bit. In a few minutes I'll text him back.. Just let me watch this..

And after another ten minutes I still didn't text him back... just another ten minutes

And in ten minutes I actually send a message.

To: Gerard

Hey.

I throw my phone back on my couch as I bring my eyes back to the tv, continuing to watch my favorite movie series of all time.

Soon enough I feel my phone vibrate again, the contact name reads Gerard.

What's up short stuff?

Blah, why do people embrace my shortness?

To: Gerard

Watching movies, wbu

I keep my phone by me, just cause I know I'm going to get a message in about five minutes.

From: Gerard

Hey, are you busy tomorrow?

To: Gerard

Probably not, why?

My phone sits on my leg, and has been for the past ten minutes. Not another response from Gerard.

I don't know if I should be happy or upset about it. I mean, now I don't have to text but now I don't know if Gerard just randomly got mad at me or not..
