The Lost Girl
Decisions
Gerard's POV
I grabbed Lindsey's waist, picked her up and kissed her deeply. When we broke apart, I saw Frank out of the corner of my eye, looking forlorn. He had wanted me to pick Emma. I looked into her beautiful eyes, and put her down. She and I were so in tune, so made for each other, that she knew without my words. Her smile was a little tight; that was the giveaway.
'I'll go and pack my bag then, if that's what you want.'
'Yeah, it is.' I didn't have to explain myself; she understood. Maybe we seemed like soul mates, but I'd fallen in love with Em. And if I'd truly loved Lindsey, I wouldn't have felt fear course through my veins when she came into the room.
'I'm sorry, I have to go and get her.' I pecked Lindsey's cheek, and she brushed mine with her own lips briefly.
'Gerard?' I turned at Frank's voice, halfway out the door.
'She's yours. I get it.' I smiled broadly and sprinted out of the door, down the steps. I cursed under my breath at my decision to sort out my friends before I chased after the broken girl who had my heart.
Emma's POV
It had been easy enough to slip past Lindsey. I caught a secret glance at Gerard fucking up Frank's face. At least he cared enough to bruise his knuckles a little before he forgot all about me. I was out of breath from running, and although it was the middle of the day, the sky was dark with black clouds. They soon broke into rain, pounding a rhythm on the street. I was glad for it; now, even I didn't know that I was crying. I opened my arms up to the rain, the shirt I'd pulled on, the pink one, plastered to me with rain and sweat. I turned my face up to the sky which raged with thunder and lightning. I embraced the weather, the wonderful storm that articulated my emotions in the way only songs could usually. A blurred figure ran up to me, and stopped short. My arms fell to my sides.
I just made out the relief in his hazel eyes as he stopped and looked for a split second before we rushed to each other in unison. He put his hand on the back of my neck, thumbing my cheek as we pressed our lips together in the tremendous tempest that raged around us, that emptied the grey concrete street that we filled with our color.

Notes
So I'm not really feeling this fic right now..so unless you want another chapter, this is it. If anyone wants one, I'll write a couple more, but everything's pretty well rounded off...there are a couple of unresolved issues, of course, but it depends on what you want me to do.
Thanks for the feedback, by the way. I love getting comments:)
My twitter is @teapartypoison for the person who asked.
