Give me a reason to believe

The next day, Frank walked to the playground and to his favorite tree where he played with a butterfly until 'Miokey' and 'Geward' came out their mothers black car as usual and came rushing over to the tree. Mikey didn't even stay for five minutes before he went running off to the swing set.

As the two boys sat down at the base of the tree, Gerard began to explain to Frank how he found a stray German Shepard dog with Mikey yesterday and were allowed to keep him, even thought they didn't know what to call him. Frank suggested that they call him 'Ajax' because it sounded cool. Gerard agreed and Frank then told him about what his mother was talking to him about yesterday. Scandalized, Gerard gasps and he cries,
"But Why?! We're best friends and we love each other."
"She said that I was supposed to like girls, like Jamia." Frank said, playing with the grass. Gerard wrinkled his button-like nose and said,
"Why? Girls are icky and they have cooties."
"I know Gee," Frank sighs, shaking his head "I just don't understand it."
Suddenly very angry, Gerard stands up and huffs, "Well I don't like this one bit, Frankie. We're bestest friends forever and we should be allowed to love each other!"
"But Gee!" Frank says, scrambling to his feet, " We can't do something our mommies don't like! They'll be mad..." Just as Gerard was about to protest, the bell rang meaning that it was time to go to class.

During his class time, all Frank could think about was how genuine of a friend Gerard was. Maybe his mommy was wrong. They both loved each other, so, she had to be. During art time, Frank drew a picture of himself holding hands with Gerard while Mikey drew a picture of himself riding a unicorn. When recess approached, all his little mind could think about was Gerard it was as if now that their love and friendship was being threatened, he wanted to take as much of an advantage as he could.

When this day was finally coming to an end, he sat near a shrub with Mikey and Gerard waiting for their mothers to come pick them up. Mikey ran off to tell Mrs. Red 'Goodbye' for the millionth time.
"Ummm.. GeeGee?" Frank whimpered.
"Yea?" Gerard asked happily.
"Will we be together forever?" Frank asked shyly.
"OF COURSE WE WILL FRANKIE!! Don't think otherwise."Gerard said.
"You guys are crazy, " Mikey said walking up to them. "I only want to be with unicorns." He giggled. At that very moment both cars pulled up to the three boys.
"Bye Mikey!" Frank called out before Mikey climbed to the back seat. He returned this goodbye with a wave.
"Bye Gee." Frank said, hugging his 'bestest friend ever'.
"Bye Frankie." Gerard said hugging him back. As Frank looked down at his shoes, Gerard pulled his chin up and gave him a small peck on his plump cheek. Frank gave off a small giggle as Gerard also climbed to the back seat with his baby brother and went their seperate ways.
