Struggling with more Ways than one

~Fletcher's POV~
"Ugh, I'm so bored." Mikey groans.
"Me too." I reply as I slump into the couch.
"Why don't you go to the park or something." Gerard hollers from the kitchen.
"That's actually a good idea," Mikey beams, his eyes full of excitement. "I'm gonna call Frankie, be right back." he informs me before walking out of the room to call his 'boyfriend' of sorts. Now that I think about it, the only definite relationship in our circle of friends is Kat and Bob. Gerard enters the room and plops down beside me.
"What's up buttercup?" he asks while putting his feet in my lap.
"Just thinking."
"Bout what?" he leans his hands on his knees.
"I noticed the only definite relationship in our circle of friends is Kat and Bob."
He frowns and takes my hands in his.
"Well then, Fletcher bores, will you be my girlfriend?"
"Of course darling." I peck his lips and fall into his lap."You're adorable." I say as I put my hand on his chin.
"No you are." he teases.
"No you are!"
"No you are!"
"Would you two love infatuated humans shut up, I'm trying to have a decent conversation with my boyfriend!" Mikey screams.
"One does not simply sass the sass master." Gerard says putting up his finger and swaying his head.
"I think I just did." Mikey spits.
"Bitch please, I'm so sassy I put the sass in sassafras." Gerard retorts putting up his hand.
"Whatever." Mikey says rolling his eyes and storming back into the kitchen.
"Kids these days." Gerard says folding his arms.
"I know right." I laugh.
"I need a crown." I laugh and leap off of my boyfriends lap and head to the kitchen to fetch some construction paper. I quickly assemble a crown and hand it to Gerard.
"Thanks boo." He says putting the crown on his head.
I laugh as he smiles.
"I'm pretty sure I look churlish." I nod and fall over laughing. His crown says "Queen of Sass" and on the back it says Damn right I'm sassier than Mikey. Mikey hangs up the phone and walks back into the living room. He lays eyes on his brother and puts.
"Can I at least be the Princess of sass?" he asks with puppy dog eyes.
"No, that's her title." Gerard says pointing to me.
"But I wanna be a princess!" Mikey whines.
"Fine, you're now officially Jr. Princess sass."
"My life is complete!"
I laugh and take Mikey by the arm, we both wave goodbye to Gerard at the front door and then skip arm and arm to the park.
When we get there it's flooded with children and their overly protective mothers.
"Ew children." Mikey scoffs.
"C'mon we can find somewhere else to lounge." I offer. Mikey nods and follows closely behind me.
We wander the park until we come to an area that looks a bit run down. A few rusty swing sets are tossed around the area and dead grass crunches under our shoes. It's perfectly isolated from the soccer moms and their annoying brats.
I run over to the nearest swing and hop onto it, not caring about the rust on the metal chains. Mikey joins me on the adjacent swing. We swing until I legs go numb laughing as we share stories of our childhood. We slow down when we each say memories we wish we could forget.
"When I was little my father used to take me to parks, but one day he never took me and Gerard home. He left us there and Gerard had to guide us home." he sniffles and I reach over and brush a tear from his cheek.
"I never really had a father figure, my mother always told me that he was on trips for work but in reality he went on one big trip and never came back, leaving our family broken and torn apart."
"Don't worry we're all broken," a random voice says. Mikey and I turn around to see Frank's olive face and cheery smile.
"Frankie!" Mikey exclaims taking Frank into an embrace and sitting him on his lap.
"Did you tell her?" he whispers to Mikey.
"I said it while I was talking to you, I didn't know you wanted it to be a surprise." He apologizes.
"It's fine babe" Frank says kissing Mikey on the cheek. I have to bit my tongue from saying Aww. Whenever they're around each other they go into their own little world, you see how much each of them care for one another in just their eyes alone.
"We're dating." they chorus together, holding hands. I congratulate them and inform them of Gee's and I's official relationship as well.
"Congrats." Frank says.
"I'm bored again." Mikey pouts.
"Let's go get ice cream." I say.
"I forgot money." Mikey says. I check my pockets only to have the same luck.
"I got money." Frank announces. "now let's go get ice cream."
I order Vanilla, Mikey chocolate, and frank strawberry. We find a bench that isn't crowded near many youngsters and lick away.
"You got a little something right here." Frank says to Mikey pointing at his lip.
"Where?" Mikey asks.
"Right, here." Frank gives Mikey a quick peck on the lips and the break, Mikey turning beat red.
Mothers scowl at them and frank screams,
"GAY PRIDE!" he beats his chest. We quickly dash off after I give Frankie a celebratory high five for being so audacious.
The sky turns the color of a fresh bruise, it is then time we decide to part ways. Mikey hugs frank goodbye and I wave.
"I enjoyed that." I say to Mikey as I turn the door handle. Mikey nods and we step inside. I find Gerard at the kirchen table with his paperwork.
"Hey," he smiles weakly. He rubs at his neck, I see marks and fear the worst. I take his hand and lead him upstairs, but not without objection.
"I got paperwork Fletcher."
"Take a break." I kiss his nose and open up his bedroom door and plop onto the bed. I motion to him to come to me and he does, laying beside me and placing his sloppy haired head in my lap. I gently massage his head and he lets out a moan.
"That feels good, don't stop." I giggle and continue for a while before asking him what's on my mind.
"What do you think about suicide Gerard?" I ask.
"I don't like that topic, it makes me uncomfortable." He winces.
"Then why would you attempt it?" I ask tearing up.
"What?" He says sitting up, his eyes full of onfusion.
"I'm not dumb I see the marks, but why Gee, I thought you enjoyed life, I was the one that needed suicide help." I sob, letting the tears out. Gerard's face falls.
"C'mere baby," he says and wraps me in a warm hug.
"Theyre not noose marks sweetheart," he pauses as he soothingly rubs small circles on my back. "Theyre from something I don't want to tell you for fear of your night terrors coming back." He pulls away from the hug and I see tears welling up in his loving hazel eyes, he doesn't want to hurt me.
"I need the closure." I mutter. Gerard sighs.
"You have to promise me that you won't hurt yourself anymore." he says kissing my wrists.
"Done." I say without hesistation, leaving gerard a little surprised.
"Your father came into our house, he choked me demanding to know where you were, I wouldn't tell him and then he stormed out saying that he will find you and take you home."
I pause for a moment and let it all sink in. I nod and thank Gerard.
"No problem sweetheart." He kisses my head.
"I'm afraid to go to sleep now." Gerard huckles.
"I'll fend them off with my sass." I laugh and kiss his lips.
We stare at each other lvingly for a moment.
"I LOve you."
"I love you more Gerard."
"I love you most Fletcher."

I'm sorry if anyone read the chapter 24 I posted, that isn't going to be part of the plot anymore. I edited this chapter too to take that stuff out. I like this version better, sorry if anyone else does not.
