Frank's short 21 years of life have been miserable so far. He's been in jail for two years and has given up hope on life. Gerard Way is the son of New York's most powerful Mafia Don and is in line to take over from his father when the time comes. Gerard winds up in jail after a job goes wrong but he knows he'll be out soon enough. His dad has the police in the palm of his hand after all; but during Gerard's time in Auburn Correctional Facility, he finds himself almost obsessed with his cell mate.

When Gerard is set free, he does everything within his power to get Frank out of jail too and with nowhere else to go, Frank soon finds himself sucked in to Gerard's world, becoming involved with the dark underworld of the Mafia.
