Can't Trust a Man in Red

Gerard walks with Kat down the block, towards the asylum. He hoped to take her through the back, to get to his room quicker. He goes a longer route but it gave them time to talk a bit. He wanted to ask a few things anyway.

"So Kat? How did you get into the silly school house?" He hoped she wasn't a drinker or a druggie.

"Well, I sorta walked in with Echo after you kicked us out. We needed a place to stay and thought it was just abandoned. And what about you Gerard? Why where you there?" She looks up with questioning eyes.

Gerard stares straight ahead and says calmly, "I grew up with them, they asked me to come." All of which was true, he didn't want to lie to his daughter.

"Oh. Okay." She looks forward again. Way turns suddenly and goes down a dark alley and don't even slow down. She rushes to keep up with them, grabbing his hand in fear, he didn't mind, just kept walking.

"Well how about this Kat, how old are you now? And, don't you have parents who would be worried sick?" He looks down, but looks forward again after a moment.

"I'm 16. And, I don't really know to be honest. I don't remember much of it but I do remember that a big, tall man with dark black hair, came in one night and my mom told me that I was to watch over Echo. Then that big, tall man carried me out of the room and put me in another room. After a long time, you came to the room I was in and let me into my room again. Echo was in tears, and told me that she was gone. And I don't remember anything else. You would know the rest though."

"And your dad?" Way looks straight forward.

"I don't remember meeting my dad. Mom always said he wasn't a very nice guy, so I guess he wasn't a good father." Finishes Kat innocently. She looks up at Way who keeps a straight face and loose grip of his hand which Kat still held. Way kept quiet the rest of the walk.

Finally, they walk up the short steps to the old door in the back of the asylum. Way pulls out his keys and opens the door, letting Kat walk in first. She goes in and Way shuts the door and relocks it. He walks around the corner and at the desk was his desk worker and his cook talking quietly with big smiles. Then the cook, who was facing Way, looses her smile and looks up at him. The desk worker turns around and looks up too.

"H-hello Ger-Gerard. Nice of you to be b-back." Say the cook.

"It's good to be back, Moon. Raven, Moon, this is Kat." He lets go of Kats hand and instead holds around her side, pulling her close.

"Well, it's nice to meet you Kat." Say Moon somewhat confidently. Way smiles at Moon then pulls Kat with him down a hall.

Well... split plot again... also... Gerard is trying to be the best he can be... but... well his thought of parenting style will come soon.
