Can't Trust a Man in Red

Echo finds herself in tears as she watches her love stand before his dead brother and cry. She had never seen him show so much emotion ever, and he was in absolute tears, and Echo didn't quit know how to take it.

Kat was so scared, she couldn't even move. She was torn between hostility and forgiveness for Way. Kat shook and just stared at the lifeless Skylarc and the tearful Alek. She couldn't even get up and comfort her sister.

Alek stood as the darkness overwhelmed them and Echo sits down by Alek. Kat was still sitting on the ground in shock. The 3 stood there till the morning light showed and Alek turned away and started walking back. Echo pulled Kat to her feet and followed Alek to the schoolhouse. Everyone was silent all the way back. Alek walked right into the school house and Echo tried to follow just as quick but she couldn't with Kat being so slow.

Once the 2 girls caught sight of the schoolhouse they felt a bit relieved. They looked up at it and then looked at the sky, completely exhausted. A loud noise and a yell made then look back at the schoolhouse. Then the school houses front doors seemed to flow out girls of all sizes and ages. The girls run around in the grass, not having seen grass like this in what seemed forever for them. They smiled big as the sunlight shone down on them and they flowed out the narrow path to the road and cried happy tears. Echo and Kat watched them all walk to freedom. It was a happy day for all of those leaving, but still a tragedy for the 3 staying.

i felt, this was Aleks way of grieving for his brother, that he would give up all his bother had done that Alek didn't agree on, such as keeping the girls like they where
