Guitar Picks and Paper Cartoons

My alarm clock rang for the tenth time. I finally decided to pull myself out of bed. I got ready for school and there was a knock on the window just as I put my hair in a pony tail. I opened the shades and saw a familiar face.

"Hey Gerard...Here just in time," I said as I grabbed my bag.

"Oh for what," He said with a raise of his eyebrows in a sexual way.

"Oh your so fun." I jumped out of the window and began to walk. Mikey, Gerard's younger brother, was waiting at the corner. It was his first day of high school.

"You look so cute Mikey, all excited for school." I made fun of him as he gave me a half grin.
The school day wasn't very entertaining. After school I walked home with Gerard and Mikey to their house.

"Gerard, you should preform in the school talent show as a cross dresser," Mikey said as he sat down in the basement. I laughed and looked at Gerard who was just staring blankly.

"Your hilarious Mikey you really are." Gerard rolled his eyes and turned on the tv. We watched some music videos for a while. Mikey eventually disappeared up stairs. I turned on some old movie and was watching it while Gerard drew in his notebook.

"Anya are you staying for dinner?" Gerard's mom yelled down to me. I laughed and looked at Gerard. He just smiled and nodded.

"Yeah I guess," I yelled back at her.

"Why do you always look at me for permission?"

"I don't know I don't want to be rude. If you don't want me to stay then I wont. You never know Gerard your a boy you might not want me to stay."

I pushed his hair out of his face and replied to me, "Why would I not like you to stay?"

"I don't know you weird." I frowned at him.

"Thanks Anya your so nice."

"Oh I'm kidding." I went over and sat next to him. He put his head on my shoulder. I looked down at his drawing but he pulled away.

"Let me see."

"No you can't...it's not for your eyes."

"Why?"

"Because your weird" We both laughed and then heard his mom yell that dinner was ready. As we both preceded up stairs I stole a look at his book. My mouth dropped as I looked down at an amazing picture of me.
