Teacher's Pet

*Gerard's P.O.V*

"Mae wake up." I kissed her cheek as her eyes fluttered open. "Good morning beautiful."
"Morning Gee." She sounded so tired.
"I have to leave soon okay?"
"No."
"Mae, I have work. I have to go."
"Can't you just stay home?"
"It's only the second day of school. No, I can't and neither can you." I stood up off the bed and walked over to my drawer. "C'mon. You have to get up." I pulled out black skinny jeans, a white button up shirt, a black vest, and a black tie.
"But Gee, I'm tired."
"I am too. But if I have to go to that hell hole so do you."
"Fine." I heard her roll out of bed as I pulled on my jeans. "Do you have any clothes I can borrow?"
"Uh, yeah." I pulled out the bottom drawer and pulled out a plaid skirt, black tank top, and black converse.
"Gee?"
"Yeah?"
"Why do you have like a slutty school girl outfit?"
"Long story."
"Okay?" I handed her the clothes and continued to dress myself.
"Gee?"
"Hm?"
"Do you have something long sleeved?"
"Uh, not really. Why?"
"I....I need something to cover my arms."
I turned around and saw her staring at the ground. I took her hands in mine and rolled up her sleeves. There were scars everywhere. Some new some old. I looked her in the eye and saw tears begin to fall. I began to kiss the scars.
"I still think you're beautiful." Maybe it was time. I rolled up my own sleeve to reveal the scars I've had accumulating for years now.
"Why are you showing me this?"
"To show you that I've suffered too." I kissed her lips softly and put my jacket around her. "You can wear this today. I'll take you shopping tonight."
"Thanks."
I kissed her forehead and left. I couldn't be late. Especially not on the second day.

*Mae's P.O.V*

After he kissed me goodbye I sat in his room and cried for a few minutes. I quickly got dressed and ran downstairs. Mikey was already awake and making breakfast.
"Morning Mae."
"Morning." I looked around but I didn't see Summer. "Hey. Where's Summer?"
"She went home."
"She gonna be at school?"
"I don't know." Why would she do that?
"Oh. What's for breakfast?"
"Pancakes."
"Yum."
"We have to eat fast though. If we wanna make it in time for the bus we have to leave in a few minutes."
"Okay."
"Why do you have Gerard's jacket?"
"Uh, I...I forgot mine so he's letting me borrow his."
"Oh, okay."
"Yeah." We ate in silence for a few minutes then ran out the door to the bus stop. I wonder what happened to Summer. She was there when me and Gee went down a little after 11:30. I hope she's okay.
