Teacher's Pet

*Gerard's P.O.V*


Summer was in the hospital for 2 days before she could finally come home. Most of the time Mikey was there with her so Mae and I had the house to ourselves quite often.

"Gee?" She spoke softly as we laid on the couch and watched stupid movies.

"What's wrong?"

"Should we go and get Summer's stuff or just buy her all new stuff?" She hesitated with her words.

"We could buy her new clothes and stuff like that but maybe you and her should go to her house and get some of her more..." What's the word I wanted? "...personal items."

Mae just nodded and I ran my fingers through her hair. "What's really wrong?"

"I..I dunno. I just feel sick."

I placed my hand on her forehead, "You're a little warm. Do you feel like throwing up?"

Just as I finished my sentence she bolted from the couch and ran to the bathroom. As I stood up I heard her empty her stomach into the toilet. I ran in and sat behind her. She wiped her mouth and just leaned back against me. I kept holding her. The front door opened with a squeak.


"Gerard? Mae?" Mkey's voice filled the house and echoed a little.

"We're in the bathroom." I said, realizing after the fact how weird that sounded.

Mikey walked in and saw Mae an I on the floor. Summer was holding his hand and stood a little behind him. She looked so pale. Paler than Frank. Like a deathly pale. "Is she okay?"

"She's sick. She'll be okay." I replied and Mae nodded.

Mikey nodded and Summer came in and sat next to Mae, putting her hand on her leg.

"Gee can I talk to you?" I looked at Mikey, his eyes filled with fear.

"Yeah sure."
