Promise Me Till The End You'll Stay By Me?

We talked for ages, but it felt like barely five minutes had gone by before it was getting late. My mother was already starting to pick up her things, while asking Gerard if he needed a ride home. He nodded, starting to get up.

Before his first foot even touched the ground I latched onto him.

"No! Don't go!" I clung to his arm, whimpering for effect. Gerard looked back down and hugged me tightly, stroking my hair lightly.

"It's okay Frankie... I have to leave, I have school in the morning. I'll be back tomorrow, remember?" he cooed softly, kissing my forehead.

"But I don't wanna be alone again!" I whined, not loosening my grip. "It's no fun when you're not here!"

"Frankie, I can't stay, you know that. I'm not allowed to." He sighed.

"But I want you to!" I nuzzled into his chest, keeping a firm hold on him. "Mama pleeeeeeeaaaaaaasssssseeeeeeee?" I looked at her with my best puppy dog eyes, letting my lower lip stick out and tremble ever so slightly. She groaned, closing her eyes and putting her hand on her forehead.

"Frank..."

"Please? Mama I promise we'll be good." I hugged Gee innocently. "Please?" Gerard started to say something but I shushed him by pushing my hair up into his face. My mother looked tiredly at her watch, then back at us. After a long pause, she finally spoke.

"Fine..." she sighed, shaking her head as though she already considered it mistake. I squealed loudly, cuddling Gerard.

"Thankyouthankyouthankyou!" I blew her a bunch of kisses since I couldn't reach her. "I promise mama, we'll be really good!"

She rolled her eyes but nodded. "Gerard, is that okay with you?" He nodded.

"Okay. Good. I'm leaving now. Gerard, I'll leave my cell number here for you. You two behave -- remember what I said yesterday!"

Gerard and I blushed at the same time, nodding in unison.

"Good." She nodded, and left.

When she was gone, Gerard spat my hair out of his mouth, wiping it fervently with his hand.

"Seriously? I get that you wanted me to be quiet, but hair in my mouth?!" He glared at me, although I could see it was playful. I giggled and shrugged.

"Sorry. It was the first thing that came to my mind, besides kissing you."

"Then why the hell didn't you kiss me?" Gerard demanded, hands on his hips.

I couldn't help snickering. "You look like such a diva right now Gee."

He pouted, huffing. "Doesn't answer my question."

I rolled my eyes and pecked his cheek. "Calm down, silly. I just figured my mom might be a little more willing if she saw no lip contact before she left."

Gerard thought for a moment, and then nodded grudgingly. "Fine. I see your point. But..." He leaned in closer, his breath tickling my ear. "She's not here now, is she?"

My face was turning red, but I purred back, "No, Gee. It's just us."

"So...? How about now?"
