Don't Stand So Close To Me

I stood there just staring at Lucas. My mind had a million thoughts going through it at once, bouncing off the walls of my skull; like a Ping-Pong ball in an enclosed rubber walled box.

“Shit.” Was all that managed to escape my mouth. The second the word left my lips I knew everything had gone terribly awry. What the hell are we going to do? Should I be worried I’m slightly worried?! What was he even doing here in the first place?!

“Alright, everybody just stay calm.” Frank eased in to the room, choosing his words carefully. It was almost like what people do when they're approaching a wild animal.

“Why the hell did you tie him up?!” I turned to Mr. Way, my jaw dropping.

“I wasn’t thinking! I just flipped!” He replied, in an even more panicked state then I was.

“Well we can’t just kill him!” Frank exclaimed.

“I didn’t say we should kill him! Where the hell did you get that from?!” Mr. Way snapped. I think I was going to get whiplash if they went on arguing.

“Enough! Let's just be responsible adults about this and ask him what he was doing here.” I said, turning to look straight at the intruder.

“If I take the gag off you can’t scream, is that clear?” Mr. Way spoke as Lucas nodded his head, much like you would if you were head banging.

“When Frodo over there pissed himself, I heard talking and then glass breaking. So I came to see what was going on.” Lucas shook the best he could.

“Are you sure we can't kill him?” Frank said through clenched teeth.

I blinked a couple times, everything in the room slowing, my breathing picking up till I eventually couldn't inhale. I felt scared, more than ever. What happened to my simple little life with my simple little things? Frank and Mr.Way glanced over to me. Their lips were moving but no sound was coming out.

Everything was muffled but the sound of my own heart beating. I could feel every beat. Thump-th-thump. My eyelids grew heavy, coaxing me to close my eyes and just sleep. I felt the familiar waves wash over, never retracting like a cats claws in wood; growing heavier and heavier.

Spots of black came into my vision; moving more to the center of my eye sight. Like a car with head lights driving to a mirror; the light slowly blinding the driver. I closed my eyes. Only to be caught in the never ending darkness of my mind. Someone help me I'm losing it!
