Fifty Shades of Way

***Ivy's POV***

I sat in the diner at the same table where Gerard first asked me to be his girlfriend. I didn't sit there purposely, but that's where the waitress ironically placed me.

I couldn't stop thinking about what Gerard had said, the anger and frustration in his eyes. He and I both knew he was right. But then again, I was right too. He was a dick for doing that. Because of him, I could never show my face at that school again. But like he said, he did it for us, so we could have money to be able to live in a house, and buy food. And if that wasn't enough, he quit. He quit for me because he didn't want to see us apart. As much as I want to stay mad at him, I just can't anymore, I love him too much to just let him slip away.

I looked down at my phone sitting on the table, and dialed Frank's number.

"What's up, Miss Ivy?" he answered

"Nothing really, Frankie. Look, uh, I don't think I'm going to need to move in with you. You see, my boyfriend and I had a long talk this morning when you called, and I think things between us may work out."

"Oh, well, alright. But if things don't work out, that closet will always be available to you, okay?" he laughed

"Okay, Frankie, thanks for everything."

"Hey, no problem. Look if you wanna catch up, I'll be in New Jersey this week, so maybe you and I could do something? I'd love to see you."

"Yeah, sure. Maybe we could go for lunch on Sunday? I've missed you."

"I've missed you too, Poison Ivy. And yes, Sunday sounds great, say one-thirtyish?"

"Perfect."

"Alright, well I gotta get going, my nephews been bugging me for hours to take him to the park. I'll see you around, okay?"

"See ya, bud. Have fun at the park."

I stood outside the door of Gerard's house, contemplating what I'm going to say. I kept fumbling with my keys, trying to unlock the door, but my trembling hands wouldn't allow it. I continued playing with my keys when Gerard opened the door.

"I heard your car pull into the driveway." he muttered, staring at his feet.

"Oh, yeah." we stood in an awkward silence, neither of us looking up from the ground."

"You gonna come in, or is it more comfortable out here?" he asked in an annoyed tone. I nodded and stepped aside him, into the house.

"I wanna talk to you, Gerard."

"So now you wanna talk?"

"Yes, please."

"And why should I even have to say one word to you?" he mimicked me

"Because I'm sorry, okay? You were right, I treated you way too harshly, and I'm sorry." he let out a long sighed, and stared into my eyes. I couldn't tell if it was a look of hatred, or if he was just thinking.

"Do you still love me? After all that we've been through, do you still want to be with me?" I furrowed my eyebrows, and stared at him for a few moments.

"Yeah. Yeah, Gerard I do. At the diner today, I thought about us. You know, we've -we've been through hell and back, yet- I wouldn't change any of it. Being with you has been the most amazing time of my life, and I don't wanna loose that just because you made a mistake, and I was too vain to forgive you. I don't want it to be that way."

"I don't want it to be that way either, Ivy." he whispered

"So are we okay now? Can we go back to being Givy?" I giggled. He looked at me with a small smirk, and nodded. I got up off the couch, and crashed my body into his. He wrapped his arms around me, and I buried my face into his chest, taking in the sent of his cologne.

"I've missed your hugs, princess." he said into my hair.

"I've missed yours even more."
