Summary
Frank has it all. Friends, popularity, good grades, athleticism. There's only one downside in his otherwise flawless life: he's gay. He hasn't told anyone, because he doesn't want it to ruin his reputation at school, which, in the highly religious town, it surely would. After his friend Ray is beaten by a boy named Mikey at a wrestling meet, the two beat the smaller teen. When later realizing he's moving to their school, they learn about his brother, Gerard, whom Frank falls for from the get go. Gerard hates Frank though for being mean to his little brother, and wants his revenge. Too bad Frank is desperately in love with him.
Characters
Frank Iero
Frank is a sophomore in high school. His passion is wrestling, although he also likes to write poetry in the secrecy of his room, hiding it in the fear of being ridiculed. He plays like he's tough but is actually extremely sensitive.
Gerard Way
Gerard is a senior. He's going to art college, and also likes to write music, even though he can't play guitar that well. He's a true kid of the arts, being out for vocal, band, art, and speech. He's deep and intelligent, but most kids would just call him a pussy.
Jamia
Frank's ex. She's nice, but broke up with Frank because he'd hardly touch her. She suspects he's gay.
Mikey Way
Freshman. Kind of geeky, but is good at wrestling. He's smart, and isn't really into the same stuff his brother is. He likes sports, and doesn't do the best in school, but could really care less. He also likes animals and reading.
Ray Toro
Junior. Is kind of empty headed, really only caring about girls, beer, wrestling, and video games. And also, of course, Frank. His heart's in the right place, generally, and he's a loyal friend.
