Think Happy Thoughts

I was finishing up with the last of my customers at Pansy's. The business has picked up a lot lately in the few months, so it's not surprising that there are people here so late.
I served a few final drinks and was about to throw everyone out, with it being closing time and almost three in the morning, when a figure stumbled through the door. He groaned and fell to the floor, unconscious.

I ran over and tried to help him up, pulling him over to a booth near the door.

"Dude? You okay? Hellooo?"

I waved a hand in front of his face. Still unconscious. I sighed and sat him upright in the booth. He wasn't a regular, so I didn't know who to call to come pick him up. I jogged over to the counter and grabbed a glass and filled it with water. I thought for a moment before deciding "fuck it" and dumped the water on his face. He only groaned, no other response. Shit, what do I do?

I lifted him up from the booth and and slung his arm over my shoulder, wrapping my arms around his waist and pulling him to my car parked outside. It took a few minutes, but I finally got him in and buckled after a little struggle. I am a tiny man. Strong, but small, so getting this lug into my car wasn't all that easy. I made sure he was settled before going back into Pansy's and locking up.

It took 20 minutes to drive to my apartment. The man STILL wasn't awake. Jesus, what did this dude take? I got out and walked around, getting him out of the car and up to my apartment.
I opened the door and gently set him on my black leather couch. I went to the bathroom to get a bucket incase he was going to get sick (I really do not need puke on my couch or my recently cleaned carpet). I leaned over the back of the couch to see the man rubbing his eyes.
He looked around my living room with an indescribable look on his face, flinching when he finially noticed me.

"Where....where am I? Who are you?" Damn, that man sobered up fast.

"You're at my apartment. You crashed through my bar and passed out, so I helped you up here. I didn't want you to go home drunk. Not that I knew where your home was anyway. I've haven't seen you around before." I explained. "I'm Frank, Frank Iero."

"Gerard Way, but you can call me Gee, I guess." The man, well now Gerard, said.
The man quickly shook his head to get the greasy black hair out of his eyes and slowly stuck out his hand, which I shook softly. Whatever floats his boat.

"So. This is you're apartment?" Gerard asked.

"Uh yeah. Well it's more like my second home. I'm at my bar way more than I'm here" I chuckled.

"You're not gonna kill me are you?" He questioned, fear etched in his features.

I laughed, "No bro. I really couldn't do that. I don't even eat meat" I smiled a little and he visibly relaxed.

The relaxing didn't last very long though, because not a minute later he put his head in his hands and mumbled, "Aw man, how am I gonna repay you for this? I mean, you picked me up and took me home instead of leaving me out on the streets like any sane person would do."

"Don't worry about it. Really, it's fine." I assured.

"Are you sure? I mean, I can get out of your hair. My brother's probably worried about me anyway." Gee offered.

"Well why don't you call him? You can stay and get some sleep, and I'll bring you home tomorrow." I said while gathering up some pillows and blankets and setting them by the couch.

He beamed, "Uh, alright. Thank you so much Frank. I owe you."

"Don't worry about it." I smiled and retreated to my room, falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
