Aww Pickles, My Neighbor is A Hottie

***Karie's POV***

It had been almost a goddamn week and Bryan had woken up. Bryan wasn't the same though. Especially when he went to go visit doctor Shannon. When he left doctor Shannon's office, he was quiet and wouldn't be his normal cheery self. I didn't understand why. I had to figure it out though. I wanted to go home with a happy Bryan. Gerard had to leave the hospital during the day to go work. I guess his band really needed him.

"Excuse me Miss." The nurse who I had been spending my spare time with came over and smiled at me. The only reason I spent time with her was because I was lonely. I guess that was an asshole move, but sometimes people need social interactions. I have no idea where this is going.

"Karie." She shook me. I shook my head and flashed her a smile. She flinched at my late reaction and then read something to me. I was to caught up in my thoughts to listen to her. I nodded at her words.

"Are you even listening to me?" She raised her voice and snapped me out of my trans. I blinked a few times and closed my mouth which was apparently wide open. I sighed.

"I'm sorry Ari- Olivia. I didn't mean to stop listening. I just barley got any sleep last night." I wasn't lying, but I was fibbing. And why did I start saying Ariel? Who the crap would say their boyfriend's ex's name? What? I shook my head and went over to Bryan who was nibbling on his food.

"You okay there bub?" I wiped the hair out of his face. He gave me a small nod and finished his french toast. I sighed and bit my lip. I can't cry. Not in front of Olivia. Not in front of Bryan. They both deserved to see me act strong. Bryan though. He wasn't the Bryan that I met. I got up and went to the window seal. I wanted Gee to come back and tell me that I was just hallucinating and everything was going to be alright.

"Listen, Karie. I know you don't know what to do. You're going through a lot. You need to think positively though. If you ever need me just call this number on the phone and I'll be here in a flash." She handed me a slip of paper and ran off. She was such a sweet girl.

"Guess who is home?" Gee ran in the door as Olivia ran out. I screamed in happiness as he engulfed me in a hug. A nurse looked in to check on us.

"This isn't home by the way." I rolled my eyes at him.

"Well Mr. Sassypants." He kissed my nose. I blushed.

"Why are you blushing?" He went over to check on Bryan.

"Because...I don't know." I blushed even more.

"Well I think it is cute." He grinned at me. I rolled my eyes and joined him next to Bryan. It was one big happy family again.

"When do we get to go home?" I sighed. The nurse turned and frowned.

"I'm not sure, you were supposed to leave around a day ago, but the doctor keeps pushing the leaving date." She frowned more. I was now angry. We could have left yesterday? I had to have a word with Doctor Shannon.

"Excuse me." I got up and exited the room while scanning the halls for Doctor Shannon. I couldn't see him so the next best thing was to call him up. I went to the front office and smiled at the employee.

"Can you call Doctor Shannon up." I lightly tapped my hand. The employee looked up with bored eyes and picked up the phone. She did as told and Doctor Shannon was there in seconds.

"Oh hello Karie. Is Bryan okay?" I nodded at his comment.

"I heard we were allowed to go home yesterday. Why did we not?" I felt my voice rise.

"Because I was waiting for these babies." He handed and bottle of pills.

"Okay.." I questioned him with my eyes. He laughed at my confusion.

"Give one of them to him every twelve hours for a week and the lung issue should stop." He patted my back and started to walk the other way.

"Wait!" I ran to catch up to him.

"Yes?" He smiled a friendly smile at me.

"Can we go now?" I was almost pleading. He laughed and nodded.

We are going home.
