***Karie's POV***

After the call with Ashley, I decided to just relax. I didn't feel like doing anything today. I just wanted to eat pizza and play video games with the boys. I poured myself some cereal and headed to the living room. I laid on the couch and watched Bryan and Gerard play some racing game. Gerard was beating Bryan, but not by much.

"Gerard I will catch up to you." Bryan punched Gerard on the arm and then clenched on the controller again.

"Oh will you now?" Gerard pressed a button and went super fast. Bryan gasped and pressed the same button except a shell came out. What the fuck? What was this game. I walked over and grabbed the box. It read 'Mario Cart 7.' I used to play Mario all the time, but I had never seen this game.

"I got you now!" Bryan stood up and started jumping while slamming his controller. This time a missile came out and carried him in front of Gerard. Go Bryan! Bryan stuck his tongue out at Gerard and laughed as he crossed the finish line. He put his hands in the air and did a victory dance which consisted of a lot of shaking the booty.

"Good game." Gerard shook his butt too. I laughed.

"Can I try?" I asked Gerard. He nodded and handed me the controller. I figured out the buttons with the help of Bryan and we got started. I was baby Mario, because he was flippin cute. We started off in the back which was no fair. Bryan got a head start and was ahead of me. I button smashed my way through the game. By the last match, Bryan was in first and I was in 11th (2nd to last). Gerard was laughing his head off when I didn't finish the game.

"Whatever. I'm not even into video games." I pouted.

"I'm not even into video games." Gerard mimicked. Fuck him. Bryan did his victory dance again.

"So what are we going to do today?" I asked. Gerard and Bryan looked at each other.

"We were planning on going out to the city." Gerard smiled at me.

"That sounds amazin-"

"Just us though. Kind of a guy's day out." Gerard cut me off. I smiled at him. He didn't know how much that meant to me. The idea that he wasn't just being nice to Bryan for my sake, but because he wanted too. I nodded and shooed them off.

***Gerard's POV***

The idea that she didn't argue confused me. I wasn't mad or anything, just confused. I guess I thought she would argue and want to come like the Karie I knew. I guess she really has matured since high school. I sent Bryan off to get ready. I ran into Karie's room, which was now mine too, and got ready. It was still fucking cold out so I decided to wear a bigger jacket than normal. I threw my normal skinny jeans on and my big jacket.

"What are you guys going to do?" Karie came out of the bathroom.

"Probably walk around and sight see. I mean I haven't been in New York since junior year in high school so why not? And I'm pretty sure Bryan hasn't been there." I adjusted my clothes. Karie nodded and sat down. She started to take off her pants. Nope. Wasn't going to allow it.

"Nope. Put those pants back on." I turned and pointed to her. She blushed.

"Why? I'm going to take a shower." She started to pull her pants back up.

"Because you strip now, this little bugger is going to pop out." I pointed to my lower area. She blushed even more and pulled her pants all the way up.

"Another time he can come up." I winked at her and strolled out of the room. I found Bryan on the couch playing with some toy. I jumped over the couch and landed next to him.

"Ready to go bud?" I scruffed up his hair. He adjusted it right away. I laughed and stood up.

"As ready as I'll ever be." He smiled and we headed out. Luckily there was a ferry to bring us because I was super tired and didn't feel like driving. It took ten minutes to get to the ferry.

"We are going on a boat?!" Bryan screamed and clenched on to my arm. I picked him up and sat him on my shoulder.

"Of course bud! It will be so much faster." I started to buy our tickets.

"Can we go to time square?" Bryan was on my back. I was giving him a piggy back ride through New York. I nodded and headed towards Time Square. We stopped on the way and bought hot dogs. Luckily we were really close to Time Square. We went straight towards the famous tree. It was beautiful. I missed coming here every year with Mikey and freaking out because of the tree. I knocked him out of my head.

"Woah! That's bigger then our tree!" Bryan's eyes popped out of his head. I laughed.

"Of course kiddo." I set him on the floor rolled my shoulders. For a little boy, he was quite heavy. He ran ahead and I chased after him. Kids.

"Is that your son?" A lady stopped me. I shook my head violently.

"No, no, no, no, and no. I don't have kids. He is my cousin." I lied. I didn't feel like saying that my best friend found him on the streets. She gave me a questioning stare and walked off. I didn't even look like someone who would have kids. I looked around for Bryan.

He was no where to be seen.
