You're Never Gonna Fit In Much, Kid!
Life is a dream for the dead...
Christine stopped what she was doing and just sat there silently. She tried to steady her breathing so that she didn’t make that much noise in the hope that the other girls didn’t hear her. She knew it wouldn’t last long but it was worth a shot, she just needed time to figure out who the girls were.
The round of laughter carried on for at least another 5 more minutes and by then Christine was sick of their pathetic bitchy laughs so much, that she wanted to smash their heads against the sinks, but she knew she couldn’t. She was desperate to get out of the toilets as she was very cramped, so much so that her head was resting against the toilet seat! “Yuck” Christine though to herself. She decided to look up at the ceiling to get her mind off of the current situation. She sat like that for no more than 30 seconds before she was interrupted by one of the girls speaking, her voice sounding very familiar and by her tone, Christine knew she was pissed.
“I mean what the fuck does everybody think they are doing with even caring about that fucking skank! She is a waste of space and needs to be terminated! I mean, there should even be a law stating that us normal girls shouldn’t have to even breathe the same air as those emo bitches!”
Christine sat still and perched up right so that she could listen properly! “who is she going on about” Christine thought to herself. But after questioning herself, the “normal” girl revealed who it was. And oh my sin was she pissed off with her.
“I mean like who gives too shits if that emo bitch sarah kills herself! No one would care. It’s not like her mother cares about her as she dosnt even feed her. It’s no wonder that she has an eating disorder!” The “normal” girl yelled.
“But Julie, she attempted suicide last year before the rumours started remember?” another girl said.
“oh yeah, how could I not remember? We all put notes in the skanks locker telling her that she should of tried harder” Julie laughed.
This made Christine’s blood boil to the point where she felt like screaming at them, but she didn’t want them to notice she was there not after what her step dad did to her last night! She didn’t want another mark on her skin!
****The bell rang signalling for next lesson! ****
Christine sighed with relief as she heard the other girls walk out of the toilets. She got up. Unlocked the toilet door and walked towards the mirror. Looking at herself she could see that she hadn’t successfully managed to cover up the big purple bruise that had formed on her check properly this morning. “Bet he enjoyed himself last night” Christine thought, sick to her stomach that any human person could do this. But it was no surprise to her. It wasn’t like this was the first time anything had happened to her; she was used to it by now.
Christine grabbed her bag and headed towards the toilet door, looking at her time table on the way out and noticing that she has chemistry next! “Just great” Christine thought to herself. Christine hated chemistry with a passion. She walked into the corridor and ran as soon as she realised that they were empty! “Not again, i cant be late again” she thought to herself. Stopping only when she had reached the classroom door.
Christine took a deep breath in to try and calm herself down, hoping that she hadn’t gone too red from running! She opened the classroom door and strode in, and stopped as she looked up to see where to sit and having the whole class gasping at her. Christine stood there frozen and shocked. “What was up with me?” She thought to herself. “Why are they all staring at me?” she questioned.
“Miss Edwards would you please wait for me outside the classroom.” The teacher bellowed.
Christine was too scared to reply, she turned on her heels and went back out the way she came in. “was she really in that much trouble for just being late?” she wondered. Her teacher followed soon after and placed his hand on her shoulder. This was very odd behaviour for a teacher, however when she looked up at him she could see the worry and concern that he had in his eyes.
“Miss Edwards, would you please explain to me how these bruises occurred on your face? He asked.
Christine’s stomach went, She couldn’t tell him, he was a teacher. He would think she is lying about it and plus she would get it ten times as bad if she did actually tell someone. That’s what he had said to her the very first time it had happened. So she did the only thing that she could think of, she lied. She outweighed her options, run off and be found at home with him, or lie and say some bullshit that she knew they would believe.
“ Nothing serious don’t worry sir, I just feel over last night when I was drunk. Got a smashing hangover and a face too match” Christine lied, laughing to herself as she watched his face turn from concern and worry to pure hatred and regret. “most likely for even caring for you” her mind told her.
“Well that is unacceptable behaviour Miss Edwards, i will not tolerate that! Come back and see me at lunchtime and we will discuss a reasonable punishment for this despicable behaviour.” He roared.
Christine stood there thinking for a second. And finally agreed to his demand. She was so used to giving into people’s demands. She started smirking at that thought.
“ Miss Edwards wat do you find so highly amusi-“
He was cut off from giving Christine another lecture due to a loud thud and scream coming from down the corridor. Christine wincing at how painful the screams where. She turned around to see what was happening and found herself in shock at what was happening further up the corridor.
