‼️ON PAUSE‼️ 'Cause The Hardest Part Of This Is Leaving You
(Maybe) Here Comes Goodbye
*4 weeks later*
*Gerard's POV*
August 29, 2021. Bandit stayed in bed all day today. Her head was killing her. She didn't have any music on, we weren't allowed to talk too loud (if she let us in her room), she barely talked herself. The lights we not on and the blinds were closed. Let's just say she was miserable. I hated to see her like this, in so much pain. The doctor told us that she would suffer from severe migraines and headaches but damn was this bad. All she did was sleep or eat food or text a friend. What else could she do?
Bandit isn't really excited for school to start. It starts in about 2 weeks. Lindsey and I were deciding on if she would actually go back. We came to the conclusion that if she starts to lose her hair then we will pull her out and she will be put on the home-school program until she gets better. We haven't told her that, and we probably won't until it happens. Which we hope and pray it won't. We have to get her school supplies still. Since she hasn't been feeling good, Lindsey and I were going to go.
"Lindsey, are you ready to go?" I said, calling out to her.
"Coming dear!"
I heard her voice from up stairs. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialed a number.
"Hey Mikey, could you do us a huge favor?
Were going to the store to buy some school supplies for Bandit, think you could come over and watch her?
Thanks so much."
By the time we hung up, Lindsey was already down the stairs.
"Did you call Mikey?" She asked.
"Just finished talking to him."
I opened up the door for her and we started to walk outside.
"Bye Bandit honey, Uncle Mikey will be here soon to watch you!" I shouted then shut the door.
*Lindsey's POV*
As we climbed into the car, I let out a sigh.
"Gerard, she's sick." He sighed too.
"I know she is."
"I don't think she's ever getting better.."
"Lindsey don't say that." He raised his voice. "What if she heard you?"
"Well, I'm pretty sure she knows it too."
"I can't believe you." He said.
"You don't have too." I said looking out the window.
"You had so much faith in her in the beginning." He sounded so disappointed.
"Faith doesn't stay strong all the time."
" 'Stay strong Bandit, I know you'll make it through.' Remember when you told her that? Maybe she should be the one to tell you that."
I slowly turned my head and looked him in the eyes.
"Sorry Gerard, some of us can't stay perfect all the time."
"I never said I was perfect."
"Well your sure as hell acting like it."
"Are you really gonna do this Lindsey? Your acting like a 6th grader, grow up."
"Since when did you become such a grown up? Just two months ago you were smoking and drinking with your buddies after years of quitting."
" You know I wasn't drinking."
"Do I? I came home to Frank pigging out on our food, Mikey drunk as fuck, and you puffing more smoke than a steam engine."
"I would never drink again, you know that!" This time, he shouted.
"Who knows, times are changing."
"You always do this. Bring up the past and things we have already gotten over."
He was yelling now, clenching his fists. We were driving down a street when we came to a red light. Gerard was too focused on the argument to notice it. He was doing at least 55.
"You have always been like this, even when we were dating. I should have never listened to Frank when he said there was a cute girl in this up-coming band."
"Gerard.. The red light.. A car is coming.."
I looked to the side and saw a car blasting down the street intersecting ours. It didn't see us, that's for sure.
"Your trouble Lindsey, that's all you ever have been and that's all you ever-"
"Gerard the car!"
I shouted, pointing my finger towards it. He slammed on the brakes. Thoughts of Gerard and I kissing and smiling and being happy ran through my head. Pictures of him holding Bandit as a baby played over and over. Was this the end? Poor Gee...He didn't even get to tell her he loved her one last time. We didn't even get to tell eachother we loved the other. I didn't want to go but was it already too late?
Just then...We stopped.
