You Can't Touch My Brother

Phone Calls of Sorts

Gerard's POV

"Did you have a wet dream about me....?" That question can ruin so many things. I mean, I did, of course I did, Ghost is so irresistible, my subconscious mind can't control itself. But she can't know that. No one can know that.

"I beg your pardon?" I blurted, attempting an adult like take on this. She raised one of her eyebrows. "I asked you a question and you heard me, so don't choose now to start acting your age, and answer it instead."

So much for an adult like take. "No, of course I didn't, I did have a dream though. You were in it actually. You were trying to stab Bandit with a butter knife at a corn festival and I was begging you to stop." Smooth Gerard, smooth. Ghost snorted in front of me. "Sounds like something I would do." she giggled. Good. So she bought it.

"Sorry for assuming things Gee. Speaking of Bandit though, where is she?" she asked. I sighed and faced her. "She's staying with Lyn-Z....and Mikey....in a motel room or something, she should be home soon." The reality of the sentence I just spoke hit me like a ton of bricks, my wife really did cheat on me. With my own brother at that, and I didn’t care.

Mikey’s POV

My phone rang. I crawled out of the bed to answer it, Bandit was calling. A lot of people don’t have decent relationships with their non immediate family, but Bee and I are pretty close. “Hello?” I waited for an answer, which came quietly and shaky. “Where are you? I kinda need someone to stay with right now, and I can’t see my dad.” I have a small debate in my mind about whether or not I should tell her. Finally, I give in and give her the address of the motel and the room number.

Shortly after she hung up I turned to Lyn-Z. “You should go. I’m sorry, but I really think you need to clear some stuff up with Gerard. You know I love you, right?” I asked. She sighed and nodded her head, then grabbed her jacket and left. That was surprisingly easy. I figured since Bandit didn’t want to be around her dad, she probably wouldn’t want her mother right now either. I sat down on the bed and waited for her.

Lyn-Z’s POV

Clear some stuff up with Gerard my ass. The divorce shit can wait. I went back to my childhood hideout of sorts, the back wall of a gas station. Then I called an old friend who lived across the street. I could see through his window. I watched him pick up the phone, say hello, waited for the very short delay, then heard it for myself. “Look out your window,” I told him “and bring something fun.” We made eye contact for a few seconds, then he said “five minutes.” before hanging up.

Five minutes past pretty quickly and before I knew it he was standing beside me with a plastic
bag. “All I had was acid.” he told me. I smiled. “Perfect.” I replied as I took a tab out of the bag and placed it on my tongue. He tried to ask questions, but I brushed him off.

Gerard’s POV

I had The Misfits playing at the loudest volume possible, Ghost and I were singing- at the loudest volume possible. And apparently we were also making cookies. The amount of fun I am having right now is rather unbelievable. A sudden shock noise came from the speakers, once, twice, three times, then the music stopped. Ghost looked at me for a few seconds. “Gerard you awful human being, you blew the speakers!” she scolded me, but she was smiling. I couldn’t help but laugh, those old speakers hadn’t been used in a few years and I probably shouldn’t have put the music on so loud. I certainly don’t regret it though.

And so we made our own music, still singing as loud as we could, drumming on the countertops, accidentally causing the flour to go everywhere. The cookies turned out pretty bad, apparently we can’t bake. Ghost and I were giggling about something Kurt Cobain once said, and then my phone rang. “Hello?” I answered. “Hello, I’m calling on behalf of the New Jersey police department, is uh, Gerard Way home?” I paused for a minute before answering. “This is him, what’s going on?” The man on the other line coughed. “Linsey Way, who we have on record as your wife, has gotten herself into some trouble with the law. Drugs, vandalism, indecent exposure, and assaulting an officer. We need you to come down to the station.” he told me. “I’m on my way.” I said while hanging up the phone.

Ghost looked at me, a little frightened. “Gee, what’s going on?” she asked. I sighed. “It’s Lyn-Z, if you need me, I’ll be at the police department.” I told her, then I left.
