Sweet Genocidal Romance
Oh Columbus!
RAVENS POV
So here we were, Columbus, Ohio. It was absoloutely gorgeous here and reminded me a bit of Brisbane in Australia when I went there with my mum a couple of years back. Okay, more than a couple. I went there when I was 15 but hey, it wasn't that long ago, I guess. I walked through the airport confidently with my sunglasses on, my carry on back pack from Skull Candy on my back. Ross walked by my side and we just talked about random things, like how epic the tour was gonna be and brag about how well he could play the cover song we were going to perform within three days. It was the fifteenth of June, 2005 today, the tour started on the eighteenth. These three days were going to be final preparations and practises for the tour. We had to practise introducing each other and then go off to our private sessions to practise our set list. Each groups were catogorized by stage, meaning the Main Stage would be in one group etc.
All bands were taken in white vans except for Billy Idol and Avenged Sevenfold who got to share a limo. Lucky bastards. But then again, we were all lucky bastards too. We were performing at Warped for heavens sakes! Finally we unloaded all our band gear and checked into our hotel. I shared a room with Kitty seeing as we were the only two females whilst the guys all shared a room. Gerard and Mikey right next to us on the opposite side of the boys from Sweet Genocide.
I packed away all my stuff in in the room and undressed but stayed in my underwear and pulled on a hotel robe. I loved the smell of robes from the hotel! I collapsed onto the bed and pulled out the latest issue of Kerrang! magazine. I relaxed back on the bed and took in everything. This tour was going to be amazing. I then got up off the bed and walked over to the bathroom with it's door tightly shut and locked. I heard Kitty singing in the shower. She had quite a nice voice, but she refused to do vocals up onstage, even back-up, because bass guitar was more her forte and she didn't want to be something she wasn't.
"Oi Kit Kat! Get outta the shower aye? You've been in there for half an hour already!" I said, banging on the door to the bathroom.
"Oh fine! I'm almost done anyway" she hissed back, although I could barely hear her because of the sound of the water running.
I opened up the hotel room fridge and saw that it was totally empty, but I was too lazy to go and buy something from the supermarket directly outside the hotel. Room service!
I dialed the number and my call was picked up. I ordered Chinese from the hotel restaurant to be brought up to our room, finding out I didn't have to pay a single cent for it because everything was taken care of. I pumped my fist in the air and awaited my and Kats meal. As soon as it had arrived, Kitty was out of the shower and thankfully, dressed. We pigged out on the food and then it was my turn to shower.
I made sure I had a nice and long shower because today was my last day of peace. Tommorow, we would really have to buckle down and work our arses off for the starting date of the tour was nearing every coming hour. It was approaching. It was finally happening. This was it.
