My dream had always been to be in a band and just make it. And oh yeah, that dream came true, well most of it anyway. Because our band didn't just make it. We bloody made it! So here we are, a newely discovered band going on our first tour. Now, seeing as we weren't really an overly popular band, we usually had to get our gigs at pubs or places like that, but this time we got lucky. A member from the Vans Warped Tour had just happened to be downing a few beers at the local pub here in Belleville, New Jersey, and we had just happened to have a gig there that night. His name's Michael Brown and he loved our music. He totally digged it! And so he invited us to play at the Vans Warped tour! Sounds crazy, huh? Well shit was just gonna get crazier from here on in. He helped us to get signed by Fueled By Ramen and before long, we had released our debut album.
Fueled By Ramen was pretty hesitant on signing us though, but Michael managed to get us there. He told us how we were going on the Vans Warped Tour this U.S summer, 2005, and Fueled By Ramen wanted us. I think they mainly wanted us because of the good publicity they'd get, but it was bloody worth it because that was the best thing that had ever happened to us.
I haven't introduced us though. Raven, Joshua, Ross, Katrina and Jeremy are Sweet Genocide. I'm Raven, and yes, I used the word Genocide in a band name.
Genocide: The deliberate killing of a large group of people, esp. those of a particular ethnic group or nation.
It's sparked a fair bit of controversy, but we won't drop the name. We love it. It's just got this edge to us. Genocide is powerful and so is our music. Genocide is deliberate and so are we. Genocide is something that brings the world to a standstill. That's what we do best.

The photo of me was the best photo I had ever had taken of me. My hair was its new blue/black colour and it was the first photo of me with liquid eyeliner on. I wasn't much of a selfie person, unless it was at an airport. I had CASS (Compulsory Airport Selfie Syndrome) and it was deadly!

Joshua was the guy that heaps of chicks went crazy for! He was also a player, but one of my best friends in the whole world. He never really hits on me though and I'm starting to acknowledge it's more a compliment than an insult, although sometimes I highly doubt it.

I loved his name. Ross Silver Grey. His parents thought it would be funny to have silver and grey in the same name, so they made it just that way. I went to primary school with him actually. The poor kid got tormented for his name so I felt sorry for him and dated him once in fifth grade. Wasn't a serious relationship obviously.

Katrina was the oldest member of the group, the slimmest member, the shortest member and the only member in a serious relationship. We're all counting on her boyfriend to propose to her any time soon! They are so madly in love with each other, it makes me jelous!

Jeremy was the youngest member of the group, seeing as I was older than him by a month. He was also the tallest member of the group and the only one happy that he is single. Jeremy and I are also the only two that don't have middle names!
