I wake up to complete darkness. I look at my alarm clock and see that it's 4:30am. I decide there's no way I'll be able to fall back to sleep, so I stumble downstairs for a quick snack. I almost die on the stairs, but I finally make it to the kitchen and grab a small bag of barbecue chips and head back upstairs. I grab my iPod touch and see no new texts, of course. A few hours pass and I see its now almost 7:00. I can see the sun barely risen, so I go downstairs figuring someone will be down there by now. I stick my head out and smell coffee. Yep, dad's awake. I walk downstairs and greet my dad.

"Morning Bandit,"

"Good morning," I reply.

"Want some coffee?" My dad says jokingly.

"Ew, no thanks," I laugh. I'm 15, but I hate coffee.

"Okay, well, your mom gets back from touring tomorrow, so if you wanna do something together today is the day."

"Kay, I'll think about it, dad." My dad loves spending time with me, I think he's afraid I might become depressed and get into drugs like he did.

"Oh, hey Bandit?"

"yeah dad?"

Frank's coming over today and he's bringing Cherry and Lily."

"Oh, okay, cool," I say. Cherry and Lily are cool, I'm closer to Cherry, though. Lily usually hangs out with Miles a lot, but she hangs out with Cherry and I too.

*Hours Later*

Cherry and Lily will be here soon, so I throw on a Danger Days shirt and ripped jeans and call it good. Just as I start heading down the stairs the doorbell rings.

"I'll get it!" My dad yells running to the door.
