Can't Trust a Girl in Blue

Echo wakes suddenly screaming. Kat wakes as well and holds tighter around Echo. "Sshhhh Echo, it's okay! It's okay!"

Kat holds Echo tightly as she calms down again. Echo rolls to face Kat and hides her face in Kats shirt and then tears start to flow.

Kat couldn't help but think how much she wanted to hurt Alek for what he had done. She grits her teeth and thinks about everything, trying to push away the horrible images of the day before.

"Echo." Kat pulls Echo back to get her attention. "I just can't ever let you leave with Alek alone again. I just can't trust him anymore. I just-"

"Shut up Kat. I really don't want to hear it. I'm still going to see him and I'm still going to love him just as much as I have. He didn't mean it." Echo pushes Kat away and stands up. "End of story."

"No you're not! Don't you dare leave this room."

"Watch me." Echo runs our the door.

"Echo!" Kat gets up and looks the direction she ran. The hallways are just black and empty, not even a sound. Panicking, she starts to run in the direction she went, in hopes of a small sign. She sees a shadow and ducks into a room.

Footsteps come towards her. Footsteps? The twins are silent walkers and why would Echo be walking back towards her?

Then the door she leans against, opens and she falls to the floor.

"Why hello there." A tall man stands above her. His flame colored hair and chilling smile.

"H-hi." Kat stutters out. He reaches out a hand and helps her to her feet. She looks up shyly.

"I don't think you belong here do you? What's your name?" Says the tall man sternly to her.

"I-I'm Kat."

"Well Kat, I'm sorry but I must take you to your room. Which I don't know where that is, so off we are to find Skylarc." He talks like he was straining to be civil. He grabs her arm tightly and drags her down the hallway. Walking, then turns sharply.

"Skylarc! I have something for you." He shoves Kat forward.

Skylarc looks down at Kat. "Ah, Kaitlyn you again. I'll let you show Gerard to your room. She is trustable."

Kat looks up with a shocked face of almost disbelief. Skylarc looks down and softly smiles to her. She turns and walks towards her room and Gerard follows her.

Kat looks back and Skylarc is still watching her with a smile. He winks to her and turns back to his work.

Kat continues walking down the hallway, as does Way, but Kat wanted to walk as close as she could to him. Just something about his smile, his flame hair and the way his cold voice split the air when he spoke, that just enlightened her intensely. She never wanted to have to leave his side and wanted to just hold his hand - wait. Was she crushing? Does Kat intently have a crush on Way? She couldn't be. He was much older than her. But then again, does age matter? No, it doesn't. Why is she defending her own argument?

The self conversation lasted all the way up until she walked in without even looking up at him. She was so lost she couldn't even see that Echo wasn't back yet and didn't hear him say good-night to her. She just stared at everything and arguing with herself trying to figure if it was even okay to even have a self argument. So, Way just shut the door and left.

Notes

Skylarc either likes her, really just respects her fierceness the previous night, or is just trying to be nice to his patients in front Gerard as Gerard is being nice too. And the lonely child has a crush xP
