Can't Trust a Girl in Blue

Kat wakes to screams. The screaming very so loud but distant. The door was open and Echo was missing. She rushes to her feet and runs out the door, down the hall following the screams. She looks all around and then sees a shadow and ducks into a room. It was Skylarc and he looked meaner than ever. She panics as she hears a door slam open and Skylarcs screams. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" The entire school gets silent. Kat shivers and peers around the door frame as Skylarc stomps into the room. That would be the first time she had ever heard either twins footsteps. A loud crashing noise and a scream. She knew that high pitches scream, Echo. She runs to the door and looks in with pure terror.

Skylarc had thrown Alek into the wall breaking his nose, and was not chocking him intensely. Echo was in the corner screaming again in terror with a blanket pulled over her. She rushes and pushes Skylarc off Alek.

"Stop choking him! What has happened?!" Kat yells. Echos screaming stops and now just shivers in fear. Kat turns to Alek. "Why is my sister screaming and crying?!" She gets in his face and pushes him back. "TELL ME!"

"I-I," he starts, "I just wanted to make her feel better. I didn't think-"

"Didn't think what? That a meer 15 year old would would be so upset about you raping her? You're just as much a monster as your brother!"

Before either can reject or say a word she had Echo in her arms, wrapped in the blanket, and out the door, heading back down to their cell.

"Shhh, it's okey Echo. I'm here now don't worry." Kat looks down with soft eyes and kisses Echos forehead. Echo cries softly, still shaken with fear.

"H-he didn't listen to me when I pleaded for him to s-stop."

Kat gets her through the door into the cell and lays her down softly in the corner they sleep in. Echo looks up as Kat lays down behind her and wraps her arms around the shivering body.

"I'm so sorry he did what he did. But done is done Echo. You will not be allowed to see him anymore okay?"

"What?!" Echo turns hostile more than fearful. "Of course I will still see him! He was just confused and wanting, that's all. He was only trying to help me, only wanting to make me feel happy!"

"No Echo, he raped you. Now stop yelling in my ear and try to settle down some and sleep."
Kat was very upset by Echos words, why would anyone want to love someone who hurt them like that? Kat just shakes her head and snuggles tighter, somehow they both fall back to sleep.
