Can't Trust a Girl in Blue

“Kat?” Echo asks in a soft panicked voice.

“I’m here Echo.” Kat answers with the same soft panic.

“Where are we?” Echo asks.

“I don’t know.” Kat responds then struggles. “I can’t see anything or move my arms or legs.”

Echo struggles too. “I can’t feel the ground.”

“I can’t either” Kat responds in sudden realization.

“I can’t yell…”

“What?” Kat responds shocked.

“I can’t yell. My throat is numb.”

Kat makes a soft flat noise of attempt. “Mine too.”

“It hurts to talk.” Echo’s voice filled with pain.

“Don’t talk. Just know that I’m here, always.”

Echo pauses. “I will. I love you.”

Kat smiles and frowns as both happiness and worry mix inside. “I love you too.”

They both become silent and numb allover, through the mouth and throat. Then the lights come on. Not too bright. Both become startled, and then cry as they see each other on opposite sides of the room, hanging by their hands with their legs tied back against the wall. Fear engulfs as a man walks in the center of the room, between the two.

“It’s not okay to trespass,” he says in a deep voice, looking at Kat, “and it’s not okay to lie.” He stares into Echo’s Blue eyes. Angry, he leaves the room. Not a breath later the lights turn off the lights.

“Kat, I’m scared. I’ve never been so scared ever.” Echo says weakly, voice shaking.

“I know but we must sleep, even if we only have nightmares. Don’t waste your voice. Good night Echo.” Kat says almost at a whisper.

“I love you, Kat.” Echo says just as weak and quietly, barely able to finish her words.

“I love you too.”

Notes

This chapter was kinda hard to write since the sisters are getting hurt :/ But this chapter shows the sisters ties are unbreakable. Because they are being hidden from the other twin, they are in the same room. Remember Selective Correction.
