Traffic Report
Chapter 1
I like driving. It's fun, especially when I go fast. I'm only 15, but who cares? There's no real law outside of BL/ind cities. Anyway, back to driving. It's fun going fast, even more so when you're being chased. That's the best part. That's what's happening right now.
Dracs were shooting at us like crazy, but luckily they were all poor aims. Three other people were in my car, shooting right back and defending while I sped along.
"Diamond, can we get rid of these guys a little faster? You're gonna run this engine until it explodes!" Monster yelled in my direction. "I'm working on it", I shouted back at him. How did he expect me to think of a solution while I was driving? I pushed my aviator sunglasses further up my face, and looked around. I saw a long line of old chain-link fencing. Then, my screwed-up noggin sprung an idea.
"Alright, here we go!" I shouted to my team as I sped up even more. I raised a hand in the air, beckoning our perusers to take us out. Surely enough, I heard the engine behind us rev, and saw the hood of it creeping up on my right. Good. That's just where I needed them.
The fence was coming up fast. It cut off towards the left, worn down by years of weathering. I glanced over to the right. The Dracs were staring right at us, not even paying attention to the danger in front of them. I smirked, and turned left sharply.
We swerved out of the way just in time, and the Dracs hit the fence. I spared a glance back as I slowed slightly, and saw the car billowing up in flames. I cringed a little. I don't like it when people die, especially on our behalf. But, it was either the villains or us in this situation.
I slowed the car down to around the "speed limit", and turned back onto the road. "I see a station up ahead", Thrill shouted, "We can get more gas and dinner there". The three of us nodded in agreement. Food sounded good.
