All The Good Girls Go To Heaven
To The End
Damian was growing so big. Nobody could believe it had already been six months since he was born. His hair was black, just like Skylar’s had been before she dyed it. His eyes were hazel, just like both of his parents. Such a cute little boy. He could hold his own head up now. Sadly, Bob was flying back to Chicago on this day, so no one would be home to watch him. Ray certainly wouldn’t. It was Skylar’s turn to ‘get coffee’. She knew something was bound to happen. Good or bad, she couldn’t tell. All she knew was that she wanted to find out. So, just like always, she walked outside, checking for people who would notice, and then vanishing into the nighttime air. Only this time, someone was sneaking out of their window to follow her. They tracked her every move, ducking behind large objects when she turned around. Of course, Skylar knew someone was there. She just decided to accept her fate. She grabbed some poor girl, wandering along aimlessly, dragging her into an alleyway. She ripped her body open, taking in the sweet smell of something thick, hot, and red. Skylar didn’t notice a person’s shadow, looming over her.
Mikey was holding Damian, trying to get him to go to sleep. It was Ray’s damn music. It was too loud! No one could sleep through that. Gerard decided to help his brother lull the screaming infant by politely kicking in Ray’s door and yelling at him to “SHUT UP!”. Gerard didn’t find Ray in the room. Just pointlessly blaring music, an open safe, and an extremely drafty window. Gerard looked at the pictures on Ray’s desk. They were all of Skylar. He had photocopies of her diary entries. In a large folder marked ‘EVIDENCE’, there were so many pictures of her destroying human beings. As if this weren’t disturbing enough for Gerard, he found that the safe contained a clip of bullets.
‘Why would anyone just need bullets? Unless...’ He paused, thinking.
“MIKEY! FRANK! Grab the kid, Skylar’s in trouble!” He shouted. They would be in the usual alley. It was Skylar’s favorite to use, it being so deep and spacious. Gerard ran and saw them both looking very confused.
“I’ll explain on the way.” He said, grabbing their wrists and pulling them towards the van. Mikey strapped Damian in, and Gerard floored it. Skylar was a good friend, and a wonderful killer. None of them could let anything happen to her.
“Ray knows. Not about what we all do, just what SHE does. He had a gun. Now it’s gone. He has folders of photos. He has her diary. He’s going to do something stupid, and she’s going to die. We have to get to her first.” He yelled. They were speeding down the streets at eighty two miles per hour. Mikey pointed to an alleyway he saw from the corner of his eye. There were people in it. One of them was holding something.
“There! That’s the one! Stop the car!” He screamed. Gerard did a u-turn, parking next to the alley. The four of them, Mikey holding Damian, who was watching everything intently, stood watching.
Skylar realized the shadow was there just a bit too late. Ray had the gun aimed, the trigger half squeezed. She was about to look up, check who it was that was stalking her. Two loud shots echoed. Skylar heard crying coming from behind. A child, perhaps? Someone shouted “NO!”, and it sounded a bit like Mikey. There was a verse going through her head, as she landed face first into a woman’s open stomach.
“Never again, and never again, they gave us two shots to the back of the head and we’re all dead now.”
End.
