Disenchanted
A Confused Nightmare
Vivid dreams like this suck. They are too vivid and high definition -- it gives me headaches.
Anyways, it was dark. Nightime. There were ominous clouds looming in front of the moon. Then, it started to rain. It never rains in the desert. Ever
All I could see was a bright bonfire, not in the least affected by the water, and a silhouette positioned perfectly in the middle of it. I could feel the heat from here. After a moments consideration, I decided to approach him. It was Kobra. He looked at me, sort of... sad.
"Ko- Kobra?" I asked hesitantly. He didn't move a muscle, "Kobra, what is going on?"
He turned to me, "Hey," he smiled shyly,"I've got to tell you something, okay? You may have a strange tingling feeling. How about we sit?" I looked at him a moment, and then we were sitting on a log, the exact same position as before, just sitting now, "Abby, it's me, Kobra," I remember, How -- how did I remember? I didn't know this a few hours ago, but now? Kobra... "I've been hidden away for a while now. Well, I've been right here. You just needed the real me to cross the labyrinth BL/I built to keep you away." What? "Yeah," he smiled just a tad, it was so adorable, "It's me. And you are a Fabulous Killjoy, along with me, Party, my brother, Jet, and Ghoul."
I could feel my brain switch on like a light switch with every word he said. Oh...
"Kobra, they got me didn't they? I wasn't strong enough. I couldn't even save myself." I gulped and looked away, ashamed.
"It's not your fault. I swear," he half-whispered, engulfing me in a hug. I melted into him. I was soaking wet now. I getting rained on. It's bloody amazing, especially out here in Zone 6.
"But the zapper. I mean, not the literal zapper. It was like this light thing. They shone it in my eyes, and then... nothing. I remember waking up enough to walk out into the street, I wonder where I was all that time... Are the pills that strong? That was where I met Hero."
"Hero?"
"That's her name. The one she told me at least..."
"It's appropriate..." his sweet smile faded, and he looked straight through me, so sad... "One more thing, Shadow..." I looked up at his now intense face.
"What Kobra, anything?"
"You- you don't like strangers. Do what you want with that info," he said almost pleadingly, "but you've been hurt before. Just, remember that, okay?"
"I- I remember," my brain hurt so bad right now. What did he mean? Then a shiver ran down my spine -- Hero.
Then the bonfire burnt out, suddenly affected by the downpour and Kobra was no longer next to me. I was alone now. In the dark.
What do I do now?
