Disenchanted

Hero Faraday lost everything she ever loved 4 years ago. Everything she ever hoped for burnt to ashes, literally. She was only 11, then. She has lived with a few communities on the fringes of this place that was once so free and beautiful. America, the brave, is something of the past now.

Looking for a way out of this terrible life she leads, 15-year-old Hero meets the Fabulous Killjoys, a gang fighting for freedom and color in a world so bland and stupified. They were gonna make us whole again. Perfect again.

She didn't give it a second's thought. Now, if only she could learn to trust them. She didn't want to get burned again. Not ever. By anyone -- even the people closest to her.
